Okay, so I'm doing a survey to put together a small advice book on marriage advice/wisdom & such. I need to interview people that have been married for certain numbers of years, but unfortunatly I only know people who've been married 15+ years. So I need 2 people that've been married 3-5 years, 2 people that've been married 6-10 years and 2 who have been married 11-15 years. If anyone could help out with this, it would be greatly appreciated!!

I'll need either permission to use your last name, or if preferred, a psuedonym of your choice to simply identify your statements. Your name will not be used for anything other than this project and won't be given out or anything like that. This is just a small class project, no need to worry. I also need the number of years you've been married.

Here are the questions about your marriage--

1. How & at what age did you meet?

2. How long did you date?

3. How old were you when you got married?

4. Did your family approve?

5. Are similar interests important in a relationship?

6. How do you get through arguments?

7. Has your love grown, stayed the same, or dulled over time?

8. How do kids affect a marriage?

9. What does love mean to you?

10. What advice would you give couples that want to get married?

Answers to the questions can either be posted in here or PMed to me for more privacy.

Again, I would be very grateful if those of you who are married would fill this out...Or, if you know anyone married who wouldn't mind doing this, that would be wonderful as well! It only takes a few minutes.

BTW to the mods-- I debated over whether or not to put this in School. I thought I might get a much better response in here, Relationships, as it's not a normal math/science/english/etc. project, but on relationships themselves. I mean, the questions are similar to any others that you might see posted in here. So...I figured it would work better. Please move it if you feel differently though. Thanks.

I don't think a lot of CB members are married. Most people here are around 13-19. rolleyes.gif

I know, I know, though I've seen many that are married. But even those who aren't themselves could ask married people that they know to fill it out really quick...parents, siblings, friends?

I wasn't sure where else to go, I just figured there are so many people on here though...eh idk

I've been married 3-5 years.

1. How & at what age did you meet? I met her at a local church when I was 12 years of age.

2. How long did you date? We dated for two years.

3. How old were you when you got married? I was 17, and she was 16.

4. Did your family approve? Not really.

5. Are similar interests important in a relationship? Somewhat. If you guys have similar interests, both of you can enjoy the same activities. If your interests differ, you can introduce your interest to her and vice versa. However; I'd rather prefer we have the same interests.

6. How do you get through arguments? A dozen roses, and romantic love making afterwards.

7. Has your love grown, stayed the same, or dulled over time? Grown, of course!

8. How do kids affect a marriage? Obviously, it's a lot of marriage. But they've brought happiness like no other into our lives.

9. What does love mean to you? Unconditional love.

10. What advice would you give couples that want to get married? Make sure the girl gives good head. It'll come handy in the end. Example, when you need one of your house appliances fixed and you're troubled financially, your wife can help. Etcetera.

6. How do you get through arguments?
Take it one step at a time & figure it out slowly.

8. How do kids affect a marriage?
They make you appreciate more what you have in life, and appreciate your spouse more.

10. What advice would you give couples that want to get married?
Be sure that it's the right person, because you DON'T want to get through divorce.

I'll be really hypothetical here if me and Holly were to get married... I would be around 25-30 she would be around 20-25... here it goes... >.>
Here are the questions about your marriage--

1. How & at what age did you meet?
19
2. How long did you date?
5-10 years
3. How old were you when you got married?
25-30
4. Did your family approve?
yes
5. Are similar interests important in a relationship?
Yes and No, it's important to be yourself, but it's also important that you enjoy things together.
6. How do you get through arguments?
Fight it out, and come to a compromise.
7. Has your love grown, stayed the same, or dulled over time?
Hmmm... so far, grown
8. How do kids affect a marriage?
I'm guessing, positively...
9. What does love mean to you?
I'm not answering this... it would take far to long.
10. What advice would you give couples that want to get married?
It's not a f**king joy ride.
