I honestly think that this should be aloud. Why should a religion keep you from being what you want to be? Shouldn't god accept you for who you are? ermm.gif I just want to say that I support it.

No one is stopping gay men from saying that they are Christians. Being gay is just one of those few sins stated in the Bible that keep people from entering into the kingdom heaven... :p

They can believe and state that they are Christians all they want, and they have every right to do so. On the other hand, the bible states otherwise. The only person who really knows that you are right with God is you yourself. God will judge them. It sucks, but oh well what are you gonna do. Love em' while they're here because when they die they'll be fryin'.

I think it is definitly possible for a gay person to be REALLY a Christian. In fact, I have a friend who is gay and does do gay things but he is a Christian also. I think it's wrong for anyone to even judge someone on whether or not if they are a real Christian or not based on there orientation. Me, personally, I do not believe being gay is a sin, a lot of people are born into it and can't control who they love. Besides, being a Christian from my understanding is not about who you are but about following Christ and loving God.

So, are you saying anyone who makes any sin of any kind will not enter the kingdom of heaven? That must mean your one of those people because I do not know one person including Christians who "do not" sin. That from my understanding was the whole reason why Jesus Died on the cross, so we could go to Heaven.

lol, remember in the other discussion how there were "untolerable" sins (the ones where you deny the Holy Spirit) and "tolerable" sins? Well, being gay, apparently, is untolerable. According to some interpretations I suppose.

Although I completely disagree with that interpretation.

I'm a Christian but I still question some things.

Like what's wrong with being gay? It doesn't say in the bible "YOU CAN'T BE GAY".

Or does it? _unsure.gif

The Bible does say homosexuality is wrong.

I agree. It's actually one of the reasons why I am not a Christian anymore..theres just so much I disagree on.

I understand where your coming from. I am not even gay and when I hear someone use the word "fag" to a gay person, it does offend me. It's not right. Were all human and we all deserve respect.

Stop trying to continue your argument with Michelle here. Take it back to AIM or PMs. This is your verbal warning.

Magicfann- Stop with the spam (That rhymed ha.)

Everyone else- Watch your language in this thread. There is no need for cursing or vulgar language. Also, keep it on topic but keep it respectful. Everyone has their own beliefs and are allowed to state them in this thread. No more attacking and whatnot. Verbal warning ya'll.

Anyways, I could care less about what he has to say anymore b/c he apologized like a thousand times through AIM, called himself [and me] ignorant, and even told me was a bisexual for a week. shrug* And asked if I would add him on Myspace. lol.
Oh, and freaked the hell out when I said I was going to email his minister, lmao.

Sorry, Rach, that's the last thing I'll say to him on this thread. <3

hahahahha one of us came out of that closet ;]

can someone be christian, really christian, follow christ and everything, and be gay? can you be a gay person (and i am targeting specifically guys in this thread) and still follow christ with all your heart, mind, and soul? Because the bible says that sexual impurity is wrong...but...iunno, it's a line...but i know so many people who are christians and follow christ with all they are, but struggle so hard with their homosexual feelings....

let's hear it...

on the 5th page... so i'm not sure if u got the answer you wanted

but when u think of it some people may say no because many hard-core followers don't want to promote homosexuality to up coming generations. but as you said the bible says that sexual impurity is wrong...but...iunno, it's a line... its just a line and people interpret the bible in many different ways, i can view the saying that god wants you to love all as a way to become openly gay, it may not mean that he wants you to love some one of the same sex as you would with someone of the opposite sex but again people interpret the bible in may different ways.
I suppose that if people follow God with their heart and soul then becoming gay isn't going to happen, but when it does then what? and many people have that dilemma day in and day out... i honestly have no idea how to answer such a question in a way to help those with the problem. i question God in many ways yet i can't seem to devote my life for him, i believe he is real for i was raised that way and being BI sexual leaves me where i am now. I never was a hard-core church go-er and i may not be for the next 20 years whistling.gif so i'm sorry if my facts and opinions are a bit off...

Well, I think it's wonderful to have so many questions and be confused...it means your human and you do not need to follow God for him to love or accept you if he does exist.

!!! yay! you are the absolute closest to what makes the most sense!!! my goodness......you are right, i suppose that if you follow God with all your heart those feelings wont come, but they do, which is what makes it all so painful for that person...and i dont have a good answer to why they come and what happens when they do...and you dont have to be a hard-core church-goer to be a christian...some people sadly have bad experiences with church...but i stick firmly by the belief i have adopted that "The local Church is the Hope of the World" from Bill Hybles....
i think that my real point is...since God says that all sins are equal, which in theory would include homosexuality, does that mean that you can live in that sin, just like you could any other, and come out on the other end of death forgiven and in heaven like you would with any other sin? and i kinda feel bad for all the hateful arguments that happened in this thread...i suppose i knew it would happen, but...iunno, i guess i hoped it could be different...but, um, yeah...that it...
