Well I just finished reading the thread about how this forum is the most overlooked and was thinking about it. You see, I took a speech class and teacher told me that to be a better speaker, you have to be a better listener. So I was thinking, to be a better writer, you have to be a better reader. So is possible that this forum be merged or viewed to coincide with the books forum? It's just a shot in the dark, but reading and writing should help each other out.

Writing >> Feedback

Well, the Writing forum is to showcase and discuss the writings of cB members. The Books forum is to showcase the writings of (with the lack of a better word) published writers. I know that the two are related, but they serve very different purposes.

Hmm. They do serve different purposes but if they were to be combined, perhaps it could be called Literature? People would be able to both showcase and discuss any type of literature. Members' writing could get more views this way.

I like that there's a forum for the books and for the writing, it's easier to distinguish which are publications and which are writings that want opinions and critiques.

As Dee said, the Writing area is mostly for those cBers who wish to have their written work critiqued by others. The Books forum is for people who want to talk about books.

I like how the book and writing forums are separate. As the others said, writing is mainly to showcase the Createblog members' writings where is the Book forum is basically the forum to discuss books.

They should stay separate.
