Myspace, Facebook, Xanga, Friendster, Hi5, Cyworld, Etc

a) Myspace
b) Xanga
c) Facebook

I'm not too familar with the rest.

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites?

There are many features involved with myspace. I like interacting with things that give me alot of options to explore and interact with, especially when I'm bored. I mostly go on to visit certain forums but I also like communicating with my friends on the site. Also, I've actually made some really good online friends through the site as well.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?

Myspace music was a feature that was the first of it's kind to be intergrated into a social network. Since then alot of others have caught now but I find more underground music and artist you probably wouldn't normally come in contact with on the site.

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?

An Arcade. I love playing video games online.

5) Everyone (and their mother and pastor's wife) is on myspace and for some of the up and upcoming social network sites and current ones it's hard for them to draw away myspace loyalist. I know alot of people who have joined other social networks only to leave because basically myspace offers everything the other one has plus has alot more members. You really have to bring something different and unique to draw and keep members coming back. Otherwise you're just another social network.

a) Facebook
b) Myspace
c) Friendster
d) Xanga

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites?
It is a site where you would actually know the people on your friends list, and you can connect with old friends/ classmates. You know these people personally, and you can have the privacy to make your profile available to be viewed by your friends only, or you can choose to have a limited profile to be viewed by some people you aren't so close to and choose what they can see, so that way you do have privacy.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?
Limited profiles as mentioned above. you can tagg photos of your friends so that way you don't have to email them pictures from an event you were at

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?
none come to mind at the moment.

1.
a) myspace
b) xanga

I don't even have an account in the other ones...

2. More people have myspace...because if I use others my friends won't really care because myspace is more popular.

3. I like myspace music, so I don't need to upload songs from my computer to put on my profile.

4. I wish xanga has that music thing too...but it's impossible.

a) myspace
b) facebook
c) xanga

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites?
Unlike facebook, it's more 'open.' There are less private profiles and more places to go! I like it more than xanga because communicating and navigation is easier and more organized.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?
Bulletins... even though facebook does have the share feature. Myspace allows for more variety when it comes to profile appearances.

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?
not that I can think of.

1:
a) Facebook
b) LiveJournal
c) ... createBlog
d
b) Myspace

2: It offers a lot more privacy than the others (minus the news feed, but I've disabled it anyway). Also, networks focus the people that you find on facebook so that it's more likely that you may actually meet those people. I prefer it to myspace because, not only are you more likely to meet these people in person, but because it isn't customizable meaning no more blinding, clashing colors.

3: There's poking on Facebook.

4: I can't think of any at the moment.

I think it's easier to use, you can customize layouts and more people have it.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?
How it has tons of stuff you can put in your profile. Bulletins. Adding songs to profiles.

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?
Yes. I despise picture comments. I don't know why. I just couldn't care less about them.

a) Facebook
b) Blogger

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites?

Just an easy way to keep in touch with my friends, the interface is relatively clean, and there's no real maintenance needed.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?

Closed, friend system.

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?

A little more customization couldn't hurt. Then again, customization can always be abused.

5) Comments?

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites?

Well.... createBlog is more of a socialable network for people, and I've made a few close friends on here as well. :)

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?

The community. Very respectful. (Well most of the time.) Even though there are things that happen, I still keep coming back for more. =)

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?

Definitely the immaturity and "drama". I mean... come on. It's the internet. No one needs to have bullshit against each other online. Really.

5) Comments?

None.

1)
a)Myspace
b)Xanga
c)Facebook
d)Blogspot
e)Friendster

2) Answer: Myspace to me has a much bigger network than the rest, and I like that cause I can find old classmates much more easily. So basically its more popular to me.

3)Answer: On Facebook the ability to Poke. On xanga the ability of better posts than the other sites.

4)
Answer: Nope, can't think of anything sorry.

5) Answer: I picked blogspot and xanga cause a lot of people on their have interesting blogs and have something to say, mostly entertaining but also informative. I picked friendster and facebook because they both have a different network of people, especially around the world depending whats popular over there. For example friendster is very popular in the Philippines and i can find my family members on there that i dont speak too often so i decided to keep my friendster. But i picked those just because of the kind of people on their networks.

a) Xanga
b) Myspace
c) Blogger

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites?
Blogging is more emphasized, allowing you to get to know more about what's going on in people's heads; I prefer that versus surveys and quizzes such as those on Myspace. Although Blogger also emphasizes blogging, Xanga has much more features. Also, it's the easier to make designs/layouts for.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?
The Xanga Dash. Really easy to know what's going on with your site with that. It's all in one place.

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available? Perhaps the networking I hear about on Facebook.

5) Comments? On blogging, no.

Nice to see you pop by though, Seon Ho.

That it incorporates social linking, music, blogging all into one tight ball whereas others do the same to the some extent but not as well as myspace.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?
I'm not really sure.

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?
Maturity restictions, like on facebook how its just highschool uni and alumni. Hrmm maybe a community forum, ahh but that would take away from here.

5) Comments?
Okay if you mesh facebook and myspace youve got something I'll join.

2) In your valued opinion, how does the site you listed on ‘a’ differ from the other social networking sites? Facebook gives you the opputunity to connect to old classmates and friends in a more practical level without the fuss of dealing with any HTML and web graphic that might take your computer to load . it also has great features in which involves feeds and contact information so it would be alot easier to network . the privacy settings in facebook are also a little bit diverese , and less of hassle from any hacks or other secutiry settings.

3) What features do you take pleasures in that aren’t available on the other sites?

the news feed

4) Are there any features you ever wished there were on any of the sites that aren’t presently available?

Large social networks, unability to costumize your layout (which in my opinion is better because it reduces the amount of floating blinking things that causes the page to load slow) and large pictures network.
