Animal Cruelty, in the microwave! Options

There are some sick, twisted people with a bizarre sense of humor and no heart to be able to put a helpless puppy into a microwave!

So I first heard of these incidents earlier this week, and it's left an uncomfortable feeling ever since. I don't think this is one of those stories that I'll forget easily. I can't pin-point this feeling, but it just makes me feel very queasy everytime I think about it. The first accounts of these acts was of a boyfriend putting his girlfriend's puppy into the microwave for over a minute. Luckily, it survived, though it was in extreme pain (hair falling out from radiation and blisters) when it arrived at the hospital. How do you put something as cute as this into the microwave?! The second account, perhaps more recent (1.26.07), was of two boys, Joshua and Justin Moulder, whom allegedly killed a puppy by torturing it in the oven. Full story here.

I was about to say that, but unfortunately that'd be cruel and unusual punishment. I'm not sure what their punishment should be. I'll edit this if I think of anything.

If anything were to happen like that to my dog, I'd be devastated. How can people live with themselves doing that? They should be sent to jail for animal cruelty. How about I shove you in an oven for a minute?

I remember reading a story similar to this a while ago, only it wasn't intended for harm. This lady was giving her little chihuahua a bath and she wanted to dry it faster so she stuck it in the microwave for about sixty seconds and I forgot the ending.

Couldn't she just let it air dry?

If she thought her dog's hair took too long to dry what about hers? If she wanted her hair to dry faster, she could stick her head in a gas oven.

You think that lady who stuck her dog in the micro to dry would've used a hair dryer instead. Her story would sound more believable if she tried to dry it with a hair dryer and it was still in the water and it died. But yeah. Still not nice.

I used to put dolls and putty and random stuff in the microwave (like foil balls) but I never put the dog in there. Or a cat. Or a toad. Or a grasshopper. hm... I wonder what a grasshopper would do in a microwave. J/k!!

You know what errks me? When people say that animals are equal to humans.

They aren't. Even evolutionists have to say they aren't. They are just poor dumb animals. We shouldn't abuse them, but guess what? It happens. Should the person be held responsible? Sure, but not to the extent that they are often held to.

I always hear that whole lobster thing...you know what I'm talking about?

When you bake them in the oven. People always say that you can hear them scream. First of all, lobsters don't have vocal cords, so how can they scream? Secondly, it's just the air escaping from their shells.

i don't think the boys should be put thrown into an oven but i think they should have some form of punnishment... light jail time or psychiatric consultment at the least.
