better catagories... Options

While trying to find pattern backgrounds I realized that the catagories on here are extremely vague. I think you should have all the categories that are there now, but also have more specific ones for each type of things. Like in graphics have the background seperated into paterns, divs, corners, ones with pictures, ones with animation and ect. Also, have Icons seperated in 100x100 50x50 animated and ect. Layouts could be done this way as well with divs, skinny layouts, ect. For this to work things would have to be able to show up in multiple categories though. I just think this would make finding things on the sight much easier and make things more organized. Tell me what you guys think.

the graphics and layouts are already divided though. I mean it would be better to have the layouts put together by divs and skinny layouts and such would be nice. But if you just type in div or something as a search you should be able to come up with some. Although to bad div is 4 letters long or it won't search it. I think they should fix that

I agree with Holly.

I think that there should be a category for DIV/Skinny layouts/Regular layouts and etc.. It'd be much easier to find. Much more cleaner and organized, too. I, myself, have trouble finding DIV layouts in that section because there are so much other types of layouts. (Example: Regular layouts/skinny layouts/etc)

I actually agree with you on backgrounds because right now there's an extremely broad scope of what can be accepted as a background. The categories you suggested are pretty good, too:

- patterns
- divs
- corners

..although I don't know that I'd accept an animated background, that seems like a bit much.

As for avatars and layouts, they don't seem to need as much organization, because usually if a person is looking for an avatar or a layout they aren't necessarily looking for a specific type - if it were me, I'd just look through all of them until I found something I liked. The backgrounds category seems to be the most vague and most cluttered.

With the avatars, I wouldn't mind having a seperate category for 50x50 and another for 100x100, since some (anyone correct me if I'm wrong) places only allow 50x50 avatars. A new category would make it easier for those looking for that specific size instead of going through the pages. However, I don't think we need an animated category. Like Dani said, most just go through the avatars looking for something they look. I just think having two different size categories would make it a tad easier.

I like the idea of seperating the backgrounds into categories such as corner, div, and pattern. Pictures, though? Not so sure.

It'd also be nice to seperate the MySpace layouts into div, regular, etc. but I'm afraid that it'll cause a tad too much...seperation? As in someone lookin only in DIV, or only regular.

I just said something because I was having so much trouble finding the things I wanted. I named off all the different things that I've come looking for specificly and had trouble finding. I know I've come looking for icons of a specific size. I've also come looking for specific types of background as well as a specific type of layout. I've tried the search thing and everytime I try that it comes up with nothing. Breaking things down into types and then into the categories that are already there might be a little much, but if you have the option of one or the other it would be nice. Maybe even have the option to make it so a certain type doesn't show up. I know it would make things easier for me, anyway. I always end up looking through things for hours it seems and half the time get fustrated and give up or go somewhere else.

I don't really make much myself, but I do come here looking for stuff alot. I don't know if there's something else I need to do to make this a official suggestion or anything, but I really think it would make things more conveint for those who just come looking for something specific.

We don't really have such a thing as a "Official Suggestion" here; you simply make a topic voicing a concern in the Feedback forum (as you have) and we take your suggestion into consideration.

It would be a lot easier when it comes to sorting out the graphics and layouts. The layouts should have their own subsections. For default, skinny, DIV, and all the others stated.
