My family doesn't like it when I act so cold to my nephew and tell me often to get along but I dislike socializing or bonding with Johnson. They think I hate him since I glare at the little guy when he does anything I disapprove of. But to be honest, when I look at him I see me. And that's probably why I didn't like him too much at first.A smaller version of me. The brat I was when I was young. I hated myself when I was a young brat, clueless and blind to the realities of the world, I hated seeing myself again in that little boy.

I think it's sort of because of the way I act he's the way he is though. He wants my approval, because of how much I ignore him, he wants to be just like me. Because the way I act, he thinks of me like someone above his level he has to earn the respect of. He wants to compete with me. Adults always treated him kindly. He never had to work to earn his place among their hearts.

And I do see his efforts as he copies what things I do. To be honest I can be everyone else and accept him because he's met my expectations. But like how my older sister was to me.
I wanted to be a role model he'd strive to catch up with. I want to see him eager to learn, I want to see him copy what complicated things I do, I want him to work hard to be the best he can be. Because that's what I regreted more then anything when I was little. Being a careless, happy little bugger wasting what time I have in this world doing things that contribute to being the limited person I am today when I could have been something more.
