I am eating it right now and I love clam chowder.

I LOVE IT!

but not the fake kind. (soup from a tin can. the ingredients are too..tiny)
i like the soup from restaurants.

Living near the coast it's easy to get
fresh clam chowder where I live.

Oh word I love clam chowder, everytime i go to a restauruant say Red Lobsyer I gotta order the clam chowder. Or I buy the Progresso Clam CHowder good stuff.

I never get tired of it either. :) I'll have to add to the fish stock theory though. Both the heavy cream AND adding a little freshly cooked bacon makes a world of difference in my opinion. ;)

^I have to agree, thats the best kind in the world.

I've had clam chowder ever since I was little. My grandpa use to go buy fresh clams and make home made clam chowder. The best stuff in the world. The canned stuff isn't to bad, as long as you don't get cambells (sp) kind.
