Ok, so bare with me.
This girl I know apparently thinks that every guy she meets wants to be her friend, but never her boyfriend. I need to make her understand somehow that she is attractive and some guys would like to have her as a girlfriend. I guess she thinks that guys don't find her attractive cuz she plays soccer alot, and likes the sport very much. |

I think it would be hard to explain unless you like her and confess to her.

Dude, that's something she has to learn on her own. You can't change that.
If you don't like her more than a friend, just listen to her. Be a friend. Help her build her self-confidence. There's nothing wrong with being a supportive friend. If you're thinking about asking her out just so you can solve her problems, think twice. Once you solve her problems you may end up in an empty relationship. Relationships based on problems are rarely good after those problems are solved. If you like her for who she is and more than just a friend, then why not ask her out. It might be fun, but remember that she's insecure. Those insecurities may become frustrating. Will you be able to handle her? BOTTOM LINE: It's never bad to be a supportive friend. It may not be that big of a deal. Don't focus on it to much, or she might end up feeling like a problem/she might think you are annoying. Just act normal and have fun. If she wants to talk about it she'll open up. If you like her, ask her out (dating doesn't have to be super serious). Just make sure you're doing it for the right reasons (a.k.a. Don't do it to be her knight in shining armor.). |

Tell her what you told us?
Tell her that not all guys want to be just friends, that errr.. She's an attractive person and just because she plays sports doesn't mean it's a turn off to all guys? ![]() across is ALWAYS being direct, although it might not get the best outcome but it's always the best idea to start out with. Only when they decide not to listen to you. Then you might have to start coming up with new alternatives. ![]() |

What's helping her though, is that my GF gets extremely jelous when I talk to her....which inturn, won't help me. I think I care too much....lol. |

lol, it's ridiculos! Every time in that class, whoever gets there first, my gf or her, whoever gets there first, gets to sit next to me, whoever gets second, has to sit infront of me....lol....a bit off topic, but the other seat next to me is reserved for my man and best friend in that class..lol.
Still, I could never do that to my gf, I mean, we've been together for 2 yrs now. PS: Also, every time my name gets called for that class, she used to either say my name in a cute kinda voice, or just turn around (if she's infront of me) and look at me...lol...idk, all my friends stare at me when my name gets called, but never call my name...so idk, maybe...but then she stopped. |

she probably realizes that she does not have to be alone, but it is her choise to do so. When the time comes around and she wants to be with someone, there will be someone waiting for her... (maybe)
My friend was like that. Guys wanted me as their gf but i refused because I don't want to be in a relationship. That is my choice and my friend respected that and you should too. I know you are trying to help but sometimes it is better to leave her alone and let her make her own choices. if she is crying to you all the time that no one wants to be her bf, then consol her and get involved! |

Yeah, it sounds like she likes you... I can see why your Girlfriend is jealous. She may even be playing the whole "I think I'm ugly" card so you will come rescue her. |

Nah, she wouldn't play the "I think I'm ugly" card. Are you sure? The way you talk about it makes it sound like she's clearly after something more than a friendship. Your girlfriend has a reason to be jealous... I don't think any girlfriend of two years likes to compete with some girl on the soccer team to sit next to her boyfriend. You're allowing for it to happen. She probably thinks you're falling for that chick. If you have any respect for your girlfriend stop sending her mixed messages, and save her a seat. The competition may be entertaining, but I'm sure it will take it's tole on your relationship. She shouldn't have a problem with you sitting next to your friends, but this girl likes you more than a friend. She's making it pretty obvious when she competes with your girlfriend. I hate it when guys pursue a relationship with my girlfriend when they know we're happily dating. I don't care if they want to be friends, but if they keep nagging her to be any more than that I feel like I'm being disrespected. I guess I just don't have respect for people who try and "steal" boyfriends/girlfriends. |

Well, she did stop doing the voice thing, and more often than not she's sitting infront and to the left of me rather than next to me, so idk...maybe she gave up?

Well...the fact that she's 16 and hasn't had a boyfriend, the fact that she's blind to guys that like her...

Well...the fact that she's 16 and hasn't had a boyfriend, the fact that she's blind to guys that like her... I was 16 when I had my first girlfriend... So what, she's not missing out on anything. My first girlfriend was a total bitch. She has the rest of her life to find the man of her dreams, and if she's as pretty as you say she is... then she really shouldn't have any problem. |
