Ok Ive had a flash player on my layout and since yesterday it hasnt worked. I even went to another site and got another one to put on my page it doesnt show either, it shows some of the code and thats it! ? Did myspace change something or doesnt allow it anymore?. Because it was up and running great! I just dont know what happened?

It might just be a problem with Myspace; it did that with my comment link, it was working brilliantly one day, I never touched it after initially coding it, and then I had a friend telling me it had broken. I still have no idea what the problem was but it's fixed now.

I think it's just myspace I'm using the code

CODE
<embed allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" enableJSURL="false" enableHREF="false" saveEmbedTags="true" src="http://www.mygen.co.uk/profiles/myplaylist/xspf_player_slim.swf?autoload=1&autoplay=1&playlist_url=http://www.mygen.co.uk/profiles/myplaylist/283040.xspf" quality="high" bgcolor="e6e6e6" width="100%" height="15px" name="xspf_player" align="middle" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />

and today I got a random error with it like it's trying to filter it out replacing the embed tags like they're not valid

CODE
.. type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://www.mygen.co.uk/profiles/myplaylist/xspf_player_slim.swf?autoload=1&autoplay=1&playlist_url=http://www.mygen.co.uk/profiles/myplaylist/283040.xspf" height="15px" width="100%" align="middle">
  <param name="movie" value="http://www.mygen.co.uk/profiles/myplaylist/xspf_player_slim.swf?autoload=1&autoplay=1&playlist_url=http://www.mygen.co.uk/profiles/myplaylist/283040.xspf" />
  <param name="allownetworking" value="internal" />
  <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
  <param name="enableJSURL" value="false" />
  <param name="enableHREF" value="false" />
  <param name="saveEmbedTags" value="true" />
  <param name="quality" value="high" />
  <param name="bgcolor" value="e6e6e6" />
..>

^They did? Then why is all my embedded stuff working fine blink.gif It seems as if myspace goes through a lot of changes without any warnings when it comes to all these embedded items. Sometimes it only lasts a few days, although a lot of quicktime stuff will quit working without warning because of myspace though. I say give it some time and it should be back up.

I'll try changing the code to see if it works..ah nope I tried multiple different embedded items and their all working now..

Everything should be working now, if not can you please provide some of your codes and let me look over them I may be able to add something in to it so they will work.

Yea ok now my flash player is actually showing NOW and I got that same code as the girl above with the PARAM or whatever erron on it. I was using it and it was PERFECT! I put it on my page again its just you cant hear any music coming out of it? But now the player is actually visible as to before it was just showing random text and that error on it.

The coding does change once you use it but just use this:
CODE
<center><embed src="http://www.myflashfetish.com/minime.swf?myid=1232799&mycolor=0x666666&mycolor2=0x0&mycolor3=0xff0099&rand=1" menu="false" quality="best" scale="noscale" bgcolor="#ffffff" wmode="transparent" width="160" height="68" name="MyFlashFetish.com" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></center>

If the music doesn't play, go by flashfetish and test the code you used and make sure that its working.

THAT'S EXACTLY THE SAME THAT HAPPENED TO MY "MySpace" yesterday 18th: http://www.myspace.com/135285644
I tried a several times to put again the right HTML constructions from wich I had made a backup, but every time I clicked the "SAVE" button all the HTML construction changed. I think there's a flash-worm or something in the program. I had updated some time ago flash and similar,when Tom, the MySPace-Maestro said it was opportune, but there we are with the flash visualisation problem. Wel, I'll go on to study about it ;-)
Ciao for now.
Claudia

------

Ok, Now it does work again. Yesterday evening I made a lot of trojan and anti spyware an anti virus scans with a several tools and online. One of the things found was this:

Virus:Trj/Agent.CPB Disinfettato C:\Documenti\37015.exe

Norton the 17th of January found:
a Trojan Downloader
a Trojan Byte Verify
and a Web.exe a Dialer Trojan

I never have virusses, so it could have to do with this specific problem.

My pc is virusfree now, so I deleted the HTML flash codes in my profile editor, saved it like that (without flashcodes), then put the codes again inside from my backup and now it does work.
I hope this will do also for you, ximonolithix.

See you :-)
Claudia
