well i opened a picture on my photoshop cs2
it was 640x480 pixels and 176 KB in memory,
i resized it to 50x50 pixels (smaller)
but when i save it, its too big in memory.
i saved it as JPEG and the memory was 24.9 KB
but it needs to be less than 15 KB (15,360 bytes)
in order for me to uploaded.

how do i make it to be less in memory???
help please. sad.gif

Use the "save for web" feature, and change it to a lower compression level. I forget the actual title of the drop down, but there's one saying "high, low, medium" and you change it to something else. The file size will be in the very bottom corner of the window.

Did you try optimizing it? File>>Save Optimized As. You can easily see how much the image needs to be optimized so that it will be almost 15KB.

Edit: Or what Reili said. :P
