It's wrong,i know. But it's just that my parents always yell at me,abuse me verbally,and then say " i love you,do you love me ? " and now I'm too scared to write birthday cards,Christmas cards,anniversary cards,and any other that includes " I love you. "
I've been going through that A LOT lately. So yeah, Have you ever felt hatred or anger toward your parents,felt abused.. ? Just wanna ..relate to someone in my suffering.

yeah. i'm pretty sure it's happened to evrybody. my mom and grandma and her bf verbally abuses me a lot. i'm usually not sensitive, but since they say it over and over again constantly, it's like they impress it onto me and so i believe what they say is true.. ><;; really hurts me sometmes.

For me it's really bad. They compare me to really smart,good kids. They tell me i can't do anything by myself and sometimes i feel freakishly emo, ( haha ) and then want to like,runaway or kill myself.

Yes. See, my parents are diplomats, meaning, we move every 5 years to a diff place. Whenever an issue comes up about us moving away, I always start hating them so much. All my relationships, all my friends, they will happen when I'm in college, and not highschool. I'm sorry if it sounds wrong, and as much as I love them both, I will never forgive them for that.

You mean pure, unadulterated hatred? Yeah.
Went away pretty quickly though, as most feelings of hatred turn out when parents are concerned. |

My parents yell at me, abuse me verbally and sometimes physically, and they never said "I love you" before, not even when I was younger.
Who's never felt hatred towards their parents? I'm sure I have, and most people in cB. |

Yea I use to be yelled at all the time when I was little, I suppose I went through a lot and it was a lot different than most peoples childhoods from what I've heard. I think ever teen is going to go through a time where they are going to feel some kind of hatred towards their parents, its normal. Your parents have different opinions than you and their going to disagree to something you want to do and your going to get upset about it. Your always going to love your parents no matter what, even if you feel some type of hatred to them. If it wasn't for them you wouldn't be here.

Wow..Julia,i think. Yeah.
My parents also tell me things like, " I wish you were a little baby again,i wouldn't have to deal with you all the time,I could choose your clothes,and you wouldn't be able to talk. " And whenever i fail at doing something,my dad slaps me..luckily not on the face. |

^thats really abusive and i cant understand what would make a parent do things like that.that feeling you have about hatred is i belive more serious than what the people on here think of it as.
my father and mum have always suported me when i failed that helped me get back on track. they have smacked me before. but was very very rare and when they did they cried and said they were sorry beacuse they were never the type to hit their children. alot of people argue with my parents style of parenting but look where i am. 17,in ireland,and a sophmore in culinary arts college. and that is a big achivement. to both me and my parents so they never regret the way they raised me. and never once did i ever think of hating my parents. i got mad at them but i never hated them . |

She yells at me whenever I get math questions wrong on my homework that's not even for a grade. And sometimes I start crying,but then again she just wants me to finish my dumb homework -_- |

The same thing happens to me. They always say I'm useless and I can't do nothing right. And when I actually try to do stuff and help them around, they always find other ways to scream at me and call me useless. [especially my mom] I remember once, I had done everything my mom asked me to do like wash the dishes/mop the floor, all that stuff and when she came home, she made up stuff just so she could yell at me. Once, she said she didn't want me anymore and told me to leave the house and never come back.
 In my head I'm always saying stuff like "I hate you" and such but then it's like the next day, I regret saying it. Now, I just ignore the stuff they say to me.

I've never felt that way, but my cousins/sisters do it to me. I actually try to fight back. Works everytime. (Well for me) But I guess I just get over it. Parents? No. Cousins/Sisters? Yes. I actually still have some scars from when they've hitten me.

Pure hatred? I don't think so... maybe once or twice. But it's never lasted. my 'hate' is usually more of an extreme annoyance than anything. because they're... parents.
I can't imagine being ACTUALLY abused either verbally or physically, like some of you guys

parents, grandparents, etc will always yell at you, because they think it's best for you and that you will learn things that way. teens and kids will always 'hate' their parents because of this, but when you come to think of it, do you REALLY hate your parents? i mean they were kind enough to care for you and raise you, feed you, clothe you, etc. and deep down parents will always always love you no matter how much you say you 'hate them'.
i used to think sometimes once in awhile that i hated them but i realize i never end up hating them. i really try to be nicer now. |

Wow, definately now more than ever. My mom is extremely verbally abusive. She has horrible mood swings and she is an extremist when it comes to the christian religion and its driving me crazy. Im 18 and because she was hell to her mother at my age she has decided to not let me do ANYTHING. So yes, hatred towards my parents does ring a bell.

No. I have never hated my parents. I believe in God and what the Bible says. If you hate some one, that is just as bad as murder. I see hatred as wanting to kill some one. I would never kill my mom out of hatred. Haha.
