If I want to ask a girl out, but I'm way to shy to do it, what would be the best way to get myself to do it?

write a note?
or maybe get to know her a little better before you ask her out so you aren't so shy. |

Gaaah.. Usually it's best doing it face to face.
Leaves a better impression but if you're shy.. If it's seeing and talking to her makes you shy there's always a casual talk on some sort of messenger if you have her sn, or getting a friend to put in a good word for you and tell her you like her and want to be with her. (that idea is tricky, you have to have a real trustworthy friend for that). A note can be sweet but that'll mean you have to face her or get someone to give it to her. The possibilities are endless even if you are shy. You just have to know your limits and find something that works for you. |

Yeah, exactly. I'm shy too...You have to do it face to face. It will get you more confident around her. Like some one above me said. Grow some balls. I know from experience. Shyness is an excuse not a reason.

Well, make sure you never send a messenger to ask her something like, "Oh, would you ever go out with ___?" (That'll make it obvious and awkward.) Don't be shy! Life is all about taking risks. I guess you can try to get to know her a little better as a friend first. It might break that shy barrier you have and give you two some time to bond.

Maybe you can get to know her a little bit more? Talk to her more often? Hang out with her more often? I'd suggest get more comfortable with her, and then ask her out when you think it's the right time and that you're pretty confident in asking her out. ![]() |

"Man up, I know it's hard but
play your part boy where your heart at?" escalate into asking her; don't ask her once you speak to her.. that'll be strange. but don't be a stranger to a girl you like.. darn now that i think about it, i have to man up to a girl i like :] |

well now you have another problem
are you willing for a long distance relationship? i don't like them I say you just go up to her and ask her out. You got nothing to lose. If you don't, then you will regret it "for the rest of your life". Plus, if she says no, you're leaving anyway and you have a new start. |

Well, she is coming to Italy, but that'll be in two years, I don't think that we'll last that long in a long distance relationship. I just think the best solution is to try to hold on for the next few months and try and get over her...that's all I can think of. ![]() |

Say: "i have something really important to ask you."
If you chicken out, she might keep on pushing you to ask, out of curiosity or w.e. That might be enough motivation? If she actually wants to know? ![]() |

And another thing...What's the worse that can happen? She says no? So, what. It wasn't meant to be then. Right? Optimism my friend. There are other fish in the sea if I may am allowed that overused chiche. But it's true. Don't look at anything badly because things will turn badly for you.

Ok, I know this is gonna sound rly awkward, but I know that she did like me, and after I told her I was moving away, she decided not to take it any further than a friendship. This was our last AIM conversation, keep in mind, we sorta...met for a project in spanish.
Me: Did he (our teacher) forget about the project? Her: I think so. It was a dumb idea anyways. Me: Yea...besides, we had no time to do it (when we really got 1 month to do the draft, and the final project has been postponed like 20 times) Her: Yea...not enough time...see you tomorow. So, I think we both sorta got what we were trying to say. PS: Also, her away message now says: Project terminated, sleeping. |
