I'm like an Angel Obsessed Maniac.

I have every single episode on DVD. Sad Sad Sad. And I think I can recite every episode off by heart.

I hated the ending for Angel though... I'm pretty sure I yelled in frustration...

And now I'm reduced to watching it over and over..

Funnily enough... I STILL cry when Doyle dies, Fred dies, Cordelia dies and lots of other times. Damn Joss Whedon! Hope I'm not the only cry- baby here!

Im a Spike groupie though. The series got better when he came! happy.gif Is anyone else a Spike fan?

Something that really bothered me in season four was the fact that Buffy slept with Parker so suddenly. While I understand her motivation behind it, it still didn't quite sit right with me.

I like Spike! Also, although I'm a huge ''Bangel'' fan, I can tolerate ''Spuffy.'' =)

In a straight fight, Spuffy would kick Bangel's ass.

In this straight fight, there are two Boffy's, btw

Mrrm. All-time? I LOVED Willow until I couldn't relate to her around season four or so. Hrm.. I'd have to say Spike in BTVS and Fred in ATS. Yes, I love Spike even though I'm a Bangel shipper. XD.gif How about you?

Oh, and yes.. I just saw them in November -- they were amazing! throb.gif

My all-time favorite character would be Buffy. No one compares to Buffy in my book -- no one. Ever since I was younger (seven and beyond), I've always felt this immense connection to her. Through every hardship she endured, I understood her anguish, even if I hadn't experienced those very hardships myself.

I have a question for you guys -- do you think Joyce's death was more significant in comparison to Angel's?

Joyce's death was without doubt (at least in my mind) more significant than Angel's. She even said, "I loved her more than anything," an ep or so before her faceoff with Glory. In fact, it was her mother that comforted her when she found out Angel had 'turned' in Season 2.

I'm biased though. I adore Joyce. One of the moments (and there were several) that made me cry was when Spike (after he became a Buffy stalker) brought flowers to the house:
QUOTE
I liked the lady! Understand, monkey boy? She was decent. She didn't put on airs. She always had a nice cuppa for me. (pause) And she never treated me like a freak.

It was actually at that point that I started softening up towards Spike as well.

That line and of course:
QUOTE
Well, who's gonna be if I'm not? Huh, Dawn? Have you even thought about that? Who's gonna make things better? (crying) Who's gonna take care of us?

Man, Joyce dying rocked her entire universe and made her snap immediately into adulthood.

^ laugh.gif They both liked Passions. I love that scene in his crypt. He (Spike) made mention to Passions when he was chained in Giles' bathtub too. XD.gif

Spike's love of Passions is just one of the little things that makes Buffy so great...

And i have to say Joyce in the death debate. Angel made a massive impact on Buffy, but she, in effect, got over it. Yes, she left and did the whole broody outcast thing for a while afterwards, but that was in itself as much about her relationship with Joyce as it was to do with Angel dying.

And, as Rebecca already said, Joyce's death altered Buffy on a fundamental, and lasting, level, whereas Angel wa sjust something she learned from.

There aren't anymore good Buffy web-forums, and so I'm bumping this thread. What can I say? I need my daily fix of Buffy chit-chat!

Is there a way I can get all the seasons on DVD? I want them all damnit. Hmm... Conner's birth was so sad with Darla sacrificing herself. And to think she didn't have a soul but had so much love to do it for her unborn child.
