She doesn't know about them and if she did she would probably freak out, put the computer in the living room and not let me use it as much. Shes always tellin me not to talk to strangers online and everytime she sees news about something happening on the computer she tells me about it and not to do it. Wuteva. yawn.gif

I have one good online friend and we have been talking for almost a year and a half. Sometimes I wish I had her number, so we could talk normally, instead of through messaging systems. Anyway, my mom knows about her and doesn't really care that I have an online friend, but she does show that it's good that she hasn't asked to meet me or anything.

Just a question: do you think someone who was a 60 year old rapist could go through a year and half without asking your real name, number, where you live, how to get where you live, etc?

My mom use to actually talk to my online guy friends sometimes. She always found them interesting at times, and of course she had her own online friends that use to play guitar for her over the internet. blink.gif

Basically, my mom thinks I only talk to the girls I know in real life online.
So yeah she doesn't know about me talking to anyone I don't really know online, much less guys.

There are more than twelve people I've met online less than a year ago, ten of them in September and two in April, and I have all their numbers.
I only text them though, because I think it would be pretty weird to talk to them on the phone.
Except one is moving here next year, so I will actually know one in real life.
And again, my parents have no clue I have their numbers/text them.

all the guys i talk to online know me personally.
my mom doesn't sneak up and read my things on the computer. she's okay with it. i went shopping for christmas presents for guys once and i don't think she cared.

It drives me crazy
So I just tell them I don't talk to people I don't know.
Which is a major lie.
I have even given my phone number to guys online.

I want an online friends that is like a penpal and we can send little care packages too _smile.gif I think those are always so fun and cute. Although I would want to do it with someone in another country because that would be really fun. _smile.gif


Anyway, my parents don't really mind my online friends. I use to have a penpal and received letters all the time from him. Although I lost contact with him which was really sad sad.gif

My mom use to talk to some of my online friends a really long time ago. I never found it weird and she use to like some of them and others not so much. Just how it goes.

^ Ahhh. I remember when 'penpal' was pretty huge on this forum. Lilly sent me a letter but I couldn't reply. I still have the letter though. It was the first letter I recieved from an American who's my age.

Anyway, my mom could care less about what I do on the net. My house isn't strict at all.
