whats sad about me, is i LOVE dancing. and i can follow choreo, but i cant do freestyle or dance floor dancing. :'( i always look goofy. and when i copy my friends, like my friend J, i start dancing those more erotic "freakdancing" dancing and i dont like it. cuz im known for being really innocent and childlish. but at dances my friends go like "omg R, so naughty"

I was in your same exact state of mind and spot because I "thought" I couldn't dance. But theres really no exact way to do it, you just start moving a little here and there nothing too crazy haha. But you know what, when youre w/ your friends..its doesnt matter at all. So have a blast, do w/e you feel like or what the beat of the song is.

Dancing is pretty much my life.
A lot of these people have given you good advice--listen to the music, move your body to the rhythm, and try imitating a friend who's a good dancer. |

My friends always told me to just move. So I did, & I felt very awkward about it. I probably looked awkward too. Therefore, I just don't go to very many parties where I know there will be dancing. Except for like, homecoming & prom. I can only dance with arrows. ^-^
I guess all you have to do is not care. As long as you're having a good time, what's it matter? |

Thinking about it too much isn't so good.
I mean who's really going to pay close attention to you besides your friends? (usually) I don't know any fancy moves myself but I just dance the way I want to and no one usually says a thing because it's just my way of going about things. So just be yourself and do whatever you want to the beat. Enjoy yourself, there's no point in doing anything fancy while dancing if you're not having fun! |

Don't worry, I can't dance either.
 I haven't ever really felt weird about it though or upset about it. I just accept thats its me and my personality.Are you comfortable enough to go out there and just start dancing? Maybe thats your problem? |

I have the same problem as you. This is what you do, find one of your friends that love to boogie and ask her to teach you! Or keep it simple by just moving your feet from side to side as well as your hips.

I think because you're shy you're more worried about how other people will see you, so you don't dance because you don't want to make a fool of yourself. Sometimes you just gotta let it go and forget anyone is looking at you.. thats what I do
