they don't usually realize that there are a bunch of other members that have done better...

I still stick by having Seon Ho and Kathleen on staff. (And Kryo, too.) Those are the only people who should be hired, imo. I'm still iffy on Tina and James (I Shot JFK). I feel like they'd make awesome mods, but maybe it's because they've never been mods before. I guess I'd have to see it to believe it. Meh.

My turn to pitch in and give my honest opinion with those who have so far applied.

Krista - I highly agree with Krista being on People Staff. She does have experience. I'm reading her application right now..

I'd also like to say, one mistake I made last time as a mod was being indecisive and a bit sensitive around criticism. I've learned my mistakes and I understand that to be a mod, you also have to be strong-willed.

CB is a very divesed forum and we definitely need someone who admits to their mistakes. I have no constructive critism for Krista at all. She enforces the rule like any mod. She's active, and doesn't make promises.
x1227x - I don't know her as much as other people. But I think everyone should be given a chance. I'm looking at her latest posts, and I think she could say a lot more.. The guidelines say that we care more than what you have to say the the number of posts you have. really, that's all I have to say. she hasn't broken any of the rules, so far as I know of.
Jane - I would think she would've applied for xanga or myspace staff. I think she would make a great addition to staff. She's more than active, and she's a fun and very social person. When I first joined cb, jane was very welcoming and she's the kind of person that I'd like to see moving/closing topics in the community center. ;]
Fallingstar - is a person I'd like to see more of.

The only qualification I don't meet at the moment is the post requirement, even though I am a very active member. I'll try to get it up, but I hope that this won't affect my application too much.

insomniac - michelle! We need more livejournal mods, and she has experience. I can understand her reasons for stepping down, but I definitely agree she should be repromoted. =D
WHIMSICAL 0NE - I see her alot in the myspace help forum. I'm getting the feeling that she's not quite ready. But I could be wrong.
Maestro - Alvin, I feel is qualified. He used to be a mod on my old forum which used to be on invisionfree, he's experienced. But I'm not really impressed with so far as his graphic design skills, there's room for a lot of improvement.
incoherent - I'm not sure but he's a by-laws mod right? I think he would be a better addition to People Staff.
anime.essence - I'm going to have to say no. It's nothing personal.
a painefull euphoria - that's a lot of people applying for people staff. dang, she has a 29.1 ppd. well anyways, lol.. I have nothing to say.. I wish I could've paid more attention to her so yeah. no critique.
Rachel - definitely would be a great addition to people staff. she knows her stuff, and she's active. I have a lot of people to post about, so I'm just going to write what's important. Rachel is more than qualified.
Michael (T0rmented_Soul) - I see a lot of old moderators applying. And we need someone new. Mike, I don't talk much with but I know for sure that he would be a great People Staff moderator.
slammin shelby - i read her application. and she sounds like a pretty cool person. I really need to start paying attention to people. I think the font she uses is annoying, but thats just my opinion. lol/. actually, i dont think the font is annoying anymore. cause not a lot of people use it.
James - he's a cool person although he's broken a lot of rules and really tends to argue with me. but that's all in the past. he would be a great people staff mod. and he has experience, if i am not right.. he's a by-laws mod correct?
Tina (tic tac.)/Melissa (Jeng) - The two people I really know who should be a People staff mod, and am absolutely sure they would be an awesome addition to the cb staff.
Seon Ho - I still think he should be on staff, he makes me laugh.
Anna - We need more livejournal staff, but anna's temperment concerns me.
kryogenix - if his application isn't a joke, then I think he should be back on staff because he was actually good at what he did. But like what Gyspy Eyes said -> read the next page.
Kathleen - Is highly qualified to be on staff. Although it does bother me that she stepped down two or three times already.
Josh - He's ok, I don't think he's cut out to be a mod though.
Mike - Definite no. He's a person deprived of the kind of layouts we have at cb.

Well I've taken my time and have definitely noticed how people react around these forums so I thought I would atleast input my opinions like everyone else.

Well I ended up writing a ton of this already but it got deleted and I was doing insomniac when it messed up, so I'll start with her and then go up the list and then go down the list down from insomniac.

insomniac - Aparently you've been on staff before, and know cleary what it takes to be on staff and know the hardwork that may go along with the position. Going through your posts you do seem very helpful in other forums beside livejournal since it isn't exactly the most active forum on this whole site. Although going through some of your posts I did notice that you like to give out links as help instead of truly sitting there and explaining everything there is to know about their problem and how they could fix it, so someone else goes in behind you and does it for you in other words I suppose I wouldn't see any true problem with you being on staff again unless there was some problem you may have left last time you were on staff.

fallingstar - Xanga staff, I find it a bit weird their looking for staff members under this since there already is two now and just like most of the resource center forums their not the most active places in the world. I'm not going to go down on your ability to make xanga layouts and stuff, but from what I've seen I think you could be a bit more skilled or just submit more to the site then just one simple xanga layout. (I use to design xanga layouts a while back) You do seem like a very nice person and know what your talking about, but I think you still need some time before being "mod material." Hope you understand?

My Cinderella. - I think you sound pretty qualified in my opinion, you sound like a very nice well rounded person. You seem to understand what it may take to be on staff, and already look out now for things that you'll need to look out for if you were choosen to be on staff (I tend to find topics that could be moved, merged, or closed.) I think its great that you talk to fellow cB members and also like to welcome newcommers and would like to do that if you were selected to be on staff, because from what I've seen of the introductions its mostly members welcoming and not so much of staff. I think you sound like a great person that could possibly be on staff, from what I read out of your application and going through your posts.

x1227x - Hmm, you sound like a nice person as well. I kind of question whether you would really know when to really be serious and perhaps even punish someone at the time when it could be needed. I think its a good thing you would accept criticism and take it for the better. I think there still could be some more room for you to improve on though. You sound like a great person but still need to time to grow around the community.

marzipan - Well you've already been on staff from what I believe after reading your application. Seems like you really learned from that experience and you know how to manage your time better. I think you should probably have another chance and be on staff again. I think your really confident and ready to make a change and you know how to do it. And since you were hired before then there has to be some kind of obvious good reason in you.

Here's my two cents (well really a lot more than that, but oh well). And please no one take this personally, it's not meant to be.

insomniac - When she was a mod, she was capable. I haven't seen her around a lot lately (but then again I never go into LJ so I can't be one to judge)

WHIMSICAL 0NE - Definately capable, but I'm on the fence about it.

Maestro - Honestly, I'm not impressed with his skins or his skills at all and I don't trust his judgement graphically one but. He only seems to be active when there's a hiring.

incoherent - I'm not sure

anime.essence - I'm not sure either

a painefull euphoria - I'd say yes. Active, pretty mature and helpful

Rachel - Although she is experienced, mature, capable and overall a great person, I don't see her throughout all of the community forums (correct me if I'm mistaken hun)

Michael (T0rmented_Soul) - Not sure

slammin shelby - She's great, but I'm not sure if she is active enough (again, correct me if I'm mistaken)

James - As I have previously stated many times, as well in previous hirings his intelligence, judgement, activity and overall interest make him stand out. (impressive interview btw)

Tina (tic tac.)- Last time I wasn't so sure, but this hiring she has really stood out.

Melissa (Jeng) - Eh. Doesn't stand out really

Seon Ho - Big Fat no. Someone who has been banned, and has a warning of 100% should NOT be allowed on staff

Anna - As I have previously stated, I feel she would make a good moderator (although I don't know why she didn't apply for people staff). She is active and helpful in the resource forums and everywhere else. The only thing I question is her temperment.

kryogenix - The immaturity kind of cancels him out for me.

Kathleen - I love her to death as a person, but I'm not confident in her as a mod. She is active and such, but I'm iffy.

Josh - Yeah, no. I don't need to elaborate

Mike - Also no. Just a note Mike, replying to rejected skins with "You have no idea what you're talking about, my skins are amazing. Everyone loves them! Look they have 100 favorites! You're an idiot and a waste of life." is not the best way to get hired. Besides having issues with him personally, I don't think he is talented design-wise, and he has broken waaaayy to many rules to be considered for staff.

Jane - I feel she is fully capable, but she doesn't really stand out.

For maesto - I agree with Gypsy Eyes, but I still stand by what I said on my other post. I feel he is qualified.
Seon Ho - You know I'm just kidding. He makes me laugh, but again I kind of have to agree with Gypsy Eyes.
Anna - again, what Gypsy Eyes said.
Mike - I say no, he's one of those people who are deprived of the kind of layouts we have at cb. Again, I'm going to have to agree with Gyspy Eyes.

anime.essence - He knows me well cause I used to criticize him a lot. And indeed, he has shown much improvement in his design. *cough* I do remember something about me and him talking on aim and him saying he doesn't use xanga, myspace or facebook because he think it's childish. He may not recall, but I do.

I said I didn't use Facebook because it sounded childish. I use Xanga and Myspace. If I didn't use them it would be kind of an oxymoron relative to the fact that I do design for Xanga, Myspace, and also Website. I don't mean to be rude, but please check the actual conversation log before posting nonsense. I hardly know you for you to be spreading false statements that I have supposedly said. We have only really talked on instant messenger maybe about 2 or 3 times at the most aside from the critique that you posted on my "The Black Parade" design. Please do not take this as me being rude, but cleared of any rumors that you might have people thinking about me.

And when I criticize you on aim, you give me an attitude. You say, if no one doesn't like my designs why don't they tell me? They don't have to tell you, do they? They can just not use your layout.
