Guess what? She stepped down for personal reasons. She wasn't kicked off; don't worry about it, guys. :)

^hmm you know you may be right in a sense but im all for at least one of them a chance.

Call me Tina. happy.gif I think they are totally capable of being on staff, just not this time, y'know? I'm sure there will be more hiring sessions in the future.

i really think that jane would make a great mod because she's been really active around the community & she's been here for a while.

Being active is just one thing. You need more than that. _smile.gif
QUOTE(UHH @ Jan 3 2007, 8:27 PM) *
uh, yeah. :x

i honestly think some people (not saying names; people in the chat already know) wouldn't make very good mods. for one, most of them don't believe in themselves. another thing is that some people suck up to mods, and that's not a way to get yourself on the list for being considered mod-material. 97% of people who did apply for people staff, need some maturing up to do; like tina said. honestly, i don't know what would happen to cB if those people were modded.

i said a lot more, but i forgot it all.
I LOVE RUNNING INTO TREES! -for tina. throb.gif

I love you. hug.gif Agreed 200%. It's suck-up season here right now.. ermm.gif

I LOVE WATCHING MONI RUNNING INTO TREES AND GIVING HER BANDAGES!

wow strong words tina, I agree with you. Theres people here that can improve and shape up. I myself have some improvments to do as well. sometimes people look at you and judge you by first impression. Don't let that be a reason why that will hold you back in pursuing what you can do. But there are also times when Impressions matter the most.

Thanks, girl. hug.gif But haha, I have a lot of time for cB right now buts thats all gonna change when school starts up so I don't want to start something I can't complete. Generally, I hate sucking--and not being able to be there and be active pretty much sucks.

see this is why shes such a good mod-SHES HONEST!
and responsible enough to say "i cant do this anymore beacuse i feel i wont be my 110 percent best.[activity wise]" [or along the lines of that]

i admire that.

I think tina has what it takes to be a staff member, though she may be young she has alot to offer. Also she makes alot of good points, and is a very friendly member I don't think anyone of us would regret having her being as part of the staff.

I am going to echo these posts -

ECHO

Please, please, please don't respond with "such and such NEEDS TO GET MODDED." I think it's great you guys are enthusiastic and so supportive. Honestly, I do. :) We need more than that though or those you are supporting might not get the voice of support they truly need/should have. I hope that makes some sense.

So please, put a little substance in your posts whether or not you are voicing your support or voicing your concern.

Thanks a bunch and good morning everyone. :)

QUOTE(Sherlock. @ Jan 4 2007, 12:41 AM) *
Design Staff is a promotion, and when you get it...DAAAANNNGGG does it feel good. Just for now work in Xanga (I think that's what you applied for), and work yo' way up.

Let me just tell this to all the people who are submitting for a design related job-
You're going to be going through the graphics queue. You might see some horrible graphics that'll make you want to fork your eyeballs out. And you might see some great photography and manipulations and whatever. But, for the most part, you do reject a lot. People have the great tendancy to NOT read the guidelines, which I don't really understand because, you know, they are there for a freaking reason! *shrug* But be prepared to get PMs back (from people whose artwork was rejected) following the lines of "F--- YOU YOU STUPID MOD YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING!" or "YoU'rE ReTaRdEd! hehehe" or some pathetic long explanation that usually has nothing to do with the graphic in question at all.

If you're going to apply, you just need to have a strong character and stick by your decisions. Don't let something in that you feel doesn't qualify. Always stick to your decisions.

Ye be warned. That's all I have to say.

I don't really know what else to say about myspace/xanga/LJ/blogger because all I really did was graphics, to be honest. I was just a photoshop savvy person, so, I conquered graphics.
And would you please hire Michelle (Insomniac) so she can eliminate all the dang porn that gets posted in LJ Help?!

I haven't really reviewed much other peoples applications...

I LOVE YOU KRISTINA! throb.gif

When I was on Xanga/Design Staff, fortunately I didn't receive too much hate PMs on rejections. However, I wholeheartedly agree on the fact that it takes much more time to be on design-type staff that as a normal member who posts in the design forums regularly. THE SUBMISSIONS QUEUE is one thing that you really need to dedicate your time on. It can take hours and hours to clear up a category, leaving you barely enough time to post on forums, actually. So when you apply for design-type staff, make sure you have more than half an hour to spend time on here everyday. :)

Rachel and Tina both know what they are doing in terms of the way the site is run and where things go, and are both well known and well liked members of the community. You would be psychotic not t hire anna as livejournal staff, just take a glance through the forum.

Also, Seon Ho. Because it would be fun.

I always find it interesting that at the time of a hiring, people tend to show off their softer side of Sears. Not that I've seen this yet, but please just be natural. Being pretentious or phony isn't going to get you anywhere. I think James is a good example of this. Trust me, James and I have definitely had our issues, to say the least. laugh.gif But one thing he isn't is phony and that is certainly important.

QUOTE(incoherent @ Jan 3 2007, 8:39 PM) *
i would like to show my support for rachel. enough said.

also, james should be offered a chance. just because he doesn't get along with everyone doesn't mean he doesn't have something different to bring to the table. forget about his past and think of what he can help do in the future. he's probably one of the smartest people here and one of the more qualified for people staff.

QUOTE(My Cinderella. @ Jan 3 2007, 8:48 PM) *
I'm glad that James applied. He has the right attitude and I'm sure people will respect him.

and James! haha. I'd apply, but my activity has been way low. And the fact that I'm on month-long winter break doesn't help much either. whistling.gif

I certainly think that Tina should be modded. She seems to be highly thought of and well known on Createblog. She'd be amongst the youngest moderators, but her actions speak louder than her age.
