I saw something on hacking a sensor bar on hackaday.com. Maybe take a look there. Or maybe you're talking about something else completely.

Wait since the WiiMotes use regular infared, does that mean you can program the WiiMote into a universal remote? (Stupidest question I have ever asked)

(Stupidest question I have ever asked) No, because the WiiMote detects infrared light, but only the sensor bar outputs it. The WiiMote communicates via Bluetooth, actually. In theory, you might be able to turn the sensor bar into a remote control, but I doubt it would be a trivial task. |
