What are some of the latest trends in your area and what are your opinions about it? Do you love it, like it, hate it, like it but know you'll never "rock it"?

1. skirts with leggings
I personally think that was a fall 2006 type of thing but I hate seeing girls with it in the winter. Come on now, it's winter and it's seriously not skirt weather. I also hate seeing girls with stretched out leggings and skirts from Aeropostale.

2. Ugg boots with North Face fleece
I hate how North Face fleeces are becoming the new trend, like oh hey it's 100 dollars maybe i will get it and maybe i can finally get some friends. In some cases it could be that they're warm but for 100 dollars I'm sure you can get two of the same thing but of a different brand. I think Ugg boots were really 2002 (Gilmore Girls) and I think that people should just get over them and wear something different.

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
I feel like everywhere I see are converse and Vans slip-ons along with jeans that are too long for them, which results in tattered openings of jeans. I mean, I personally love converse but it's kind of irritating to see 12-year olds with them with bangs in front of their faces.

4. Skinny jeans
I've never tried on a pair of skinny jeans before, and I don't think I'd look good in them. I think skinny jeans are kind of old-fashioned and it's really not that appealing on some fat chick with "skinny" jeans that are way too fat. Let's just call them "fat jeans"

5. Bootcut jeans with flats or moccasins (sp?)
I like it, but I don't think I'd look good in flats. It just doesn't seem like a Jenny thing.

6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys
wow, just no. i mean, i really wish someone could explain to me why people need 5xl shirts that can be used as dresses

7. crocs
even if they are comfortable, they are UGLY. i know this girl who had a summer-job selling these things. they're not even that comfortable and the holes make it look more tacky.

i can't really think of any other ones that are irksome but if i run into any more i will keep it posted

I didn't like the skirts with leggings. I first saw it last year when i was in 8th grade for like, a few weeks. And then it just kind of died.

I liked Converse. But i'm never one to wear them. you can't even wear them when it's raining and such.

ummmm.. i see alot of ppl wearing legwarmers inside their boots around here.
well i guess its only for looks since the legwarmers are like 2 inches above the boot so it doesnt really keep them warm. its cute i guess.

1. skirts with leggings
this style is getting played out.... some people CAN pull it off, but some people just need to STOP asap. i think the long dressy blouses with the leggings look really good though! happy.gif

2. Ugg boots with North Face fleece
the typical "tight jeans and a baggy sweater" type look.... its alright, but when you see a whole group of girls wearing the same thing... ehh pinch.gif

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
COOLLLNESSSS cool.gif

4. Skinny jeans
its IN

5. Bootcut jeans with flats or moccasins (sp?)
they'r cute

6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys
lmao... wow its getting ridiculous now a days

7. crocs

I have crocs that dont have holes in them.... just so you know.
And they are very comfortable. happy.gif

As for skinny jeans, Its just one of those things that only SOME people can pull off, and some can't. I like it on those who can pull it off though.

Uggs... I've always hated.
Van slip-ons are very good shoes, not because they are trendy, but because they last a LONG time. Definitely worth the money.

I really dont have any comment on the other things, I basically agree with you about everything else.

1. skirts with leggings
looks good on some people, horrible on most. i've never tried it. i feel like it's a sad attempt for most preps to be modest, when in reality they're far from it.

2. Ugg boots with North Face fleece
I haven't heard of north face... I like ugg boots. they're warm and comfortable, but i don't have any. they don't go with everything though, like mini skirts or sweatpants or w.e. just jeans.

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
I prefer Keds slip ons. it's annoying now that everyone wears these types of shoes to be cool and 'unique'. but... yeah. i have converse shoes, but they're like regular sneakers, not the chucks or cloth-y ones.

4. Skinny jeans
i love skinny jeans :D they're super expensive though, and hard to find ones that fit right. i hate it when girls wear it when they have muffin tops. or when people mistake them for "emo" pants. and when people wear them with chunky shoes.

5. Bootcut jeans with flats or moccasins (sp?)
bootcuts with flats work. moccasins should be worn as slippers at home, not actual shoes.

6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys
no way... it makes boys like like 10 year old geeks.

7. crocs
ugly and should be for 4 year olds or younger. plus, they look like they'd give you blisters and sweaty, smelly feet.

showstopper!

1. skirts with leggings
I'd prefer to just wear a skirt without the leggings. I think its more for little kids.

2. Ugg boots with North Face fleece
I've never heard of North Face. I think Uggs are cute if you wear them with the right outfit. The only thing I hate about them is that when you take them off your feet smell like shit.

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
This trend is out for me. I hate slip ons. Ecspecially those checkered ones. Highly overrated.

4. Skinny jeans
I personally like them. But soon enough they will die down.

5. Bootcut jeans with flats or moccasins (sp?)
never seen them around here.

6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys

Gross. Definately not a plus for me.

crocs and the leggings with skirts are out of date over here.

i remember that i was the first girl to start wearing leggings udnerneath a skirt at the beginning of last year. and then i guess..magazines from other parts of the country printed that off from fashion shows and..it ran with it.

and crocs were "famous" 2 years ago in overland park.

1. skirts with leggings
love this look. Not so much with the denim skirts, but just skirts with leggings in general i love. especially if you have a nice pair of boots to go with =)

2. Ugg boots with North Face fleece
not a fan. i mean, i like ugg boots a lot, but not with the north face fleece jackets.

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
not a huge fan of slip ons, but the converse are nice.

4. Skinny jeans
love, especially with boots.

5. Bootcut jeans with flats or moccasins (sp?)
i'm not really a big fan. especially since i can't really pull off flats....

6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys
i hate when guys wear huge clothes....so tacky...

7. crocs

1. skirts with leggings
I like leggings in general, like when people just wear them under a dress or a long shirt. But under skirts........ might I say, too Hollister. & also, some girls have legs that aren't meant to have leggings on them. I mean, there are skinny girls that have long legs and they just don't look good in leggings under skirts.

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
OMG. Okay. (I'm a freshman) In 8th grade, I was the first person to get those Vans slip-ons that have shoelaces on them, right? And I always keep my shoes clean. Now when I wear them, everyone's like "Gosh Annie, you have the same shoes are (person)!" I was like "UM. EXCUSE ME?! I'VE HAD THESE SINCE LAST YEAR!" I like Converse. I have nothing against them.

4. Skinny jeans
It depends how you wear them. I hate how they have them now at like A&F and Hollister. Like wow, they actually think skinny jeans would look nice with their clothes? I like their clothes actually but skinny jeans just don't make it.

Another new shoe trend is Puma Romas. I see them everywhere.

I see too many mothers trying to be cool and follow the fashion trend these days. I was at Hollister yesterday and this mom kept pushing me. She kept looking at herself in the mirror wearing this Hollister jacket. I just wanted to get past her and she kept pushing me like I was doing something wrong. Wtf?

And little girls in like sixth grade wearing skank skirts. NO.

1. skirts with leggings
I really don't understand whyyou should wear a skirt so short if you don't want to flaunt your legs. (I know I'm a loser for sayin it... but this trend just don't go with me.)

2. Ugg boots with North Face fleece
I have a North Face fleece. I don't wear it with uggs because uggs are ugly in my opinion. The North Face fleece however is very warm (for me) and is lightweight so I don't have to lug around a huge jacket in school.

3. Vans slip-ons and converse
Er, I got these shoes in sixth and seventh grade. So... I didn't know they're a trend now.

4. Skinny jeans
Eh, this trend is NOT for everyone.

5. Bootcut jeans with flats or moccasins (sp?)
Looks nice in my opinion.

6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys
HAHAHAHAAHAHAH. This is hilarious. Sorry.

7. crocs
Ew. EW.

ohhh... that's what North Face is! I totally thought you meant north face boots. blink.gif

North face is extremely popular around here. almost everyone has the black fleece turtleneck jacket. *shrug* it's washington, so it works. I don't think it's going to go out of "style" anytime soon.

I adore my Chucks. I think everyone in the world should own a pair of some sort of baseball boot. They're comfortable, casual, and can be worn with almost anything. I'm always wearing mine (partially because I have nothing else) - with jeans, combats, skirts, dresses... Pretty much anything.

I just love them.

1. skirts with leggings

yeah. it looks straightup tacky on some people. some can pull it off though. some just.. cant.

QUOTE
4. Skinny jeans

i used to wear them. since my legwarmers would go over them. =D
&then it was like a big trend. how did that one come back ANYWAYS?
[only some people can pull these off. bottom heavy girls usually cant]

QUOTE
6. Clothes that are way too big for shrimpy boys

i`ll never understand that. it makes them look smaller && shorter.

7. crocs

no one around here wears them thankfully.

idk, victorias secret pink sweatpants. like seriously. 50$ for SWEATPANTS WITH PINK WRITTEN ON YOUR BUTT.
a place i wouldn`t want to draw anymore attention to in the first place. ;/ and you only sleep in them. so look cute while you sleep, but not for fifty bucks.. my little sister bought 2 pairs and i don`t know why. she washed them but a couple times and they are definitely not as soft as they were when she bought them.
it`s even worse when people wear them OUT tucked into uggs or something.

i hate it most when they think they`re being cool by wearing EVERYSINGLETREND [at the same time].
gross.
