When I do push ups the areas where I am supposed to feel it I don't, I only feel it in my elbows and shoulder joints. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Well whats weird is that I used to do push ups all the time, in fact it was something I took pride in. But I stopped when y girlfriend got pregnant. That was about a year and a half ago. I am starting to work out again and a big part of my workout is push ups, but for some reason it hurts when I do it now. And not in the places it should!

It would be easy if you told how many sets of pushups you do.

Yea, how many have you been doing when your elbows weren't hurting and how many can you do now until they hurt?

I used to been able to do 3 sets of 35s then I stopped, then tried it and I could only do 1 set of 30, I started doing 3 sets of 10s, then more, and now I'm up doing 5 sets of 35 without any problem. Try that, take it slow.
