Bumping this, I spent a lot of time on this, and I want some more opinions on it.

Here's some constructive advice (and a few personal preferences):
- I think the colors are a little too varied. I personally like the whole blue/purple color scheme, but in the future, you might want to try sticking with either "warm" or "cool" colors instead of the whole spectrum. - If you stick with the reds/yellows, they seem to be a little too oversaturated and contrasty. Tone that down a bit. - The planets' atmospheres are both whitish - I recommend changing them to reflect the color of the sky/nebula to seem more realistic. - Is the terrain a Terragen render? It seems a little low-quality, try rendering at twice the final size and scaling back to get a higher-res look and feel. - Also on the lines of the render (if it is one), the tops of the hills/trees are completely black, while the bottoms near the water are lighter. I'm assuming the main light source is the sun right next to the right planet; if this is the case, adjust the sunlight so that it makes the tops glow instead of the bottoms. |

Wow, thanks for the extended critique! Ok, so it isnt a render, its an actual photograph (the lake). The whole point was to change from warm to cool in the sky (don't ask me why, I just wanted it to :P) There is an updated version, but I cant be nothered to update it. Oh, and the planets are whitish cause...well..I dont know! It just is cause it looked cool :P Thanks again for the posts |
