Okay. I tried out for a volleyball team.

Everyone's is skinny and muscular for their average height as freshmen. Except one guy who is semi-overweight and the tallest guy.

For me, I'm really skinny&flexible and have like ... no muscle at all, but I'm the 2nd tallest.

Do you think I have any chance of being accepted?

Volleyball isn't just muscle and height. It's about skill and sportsmanship.
Are you good at it?

ha! one of my fav sports. you don't even have to be that tall, but you're tall which is a bonus! of course, show your team work and you'll be fine because volleyball is all about teamwork. IMPOSSIBLE to play alone. well...fine good luck spiking it then xD

I understand that. Coach perfers tall people. I want to know something from coach's view of point.

i'm an average player, not a pro. _smile.gif I have been playing volleyball for about 3-4 years.

I think you'd have a pretty good chance of getting in. You're experienced and you're tall.

How do you try out? Like.. as a team or individually?
I think that if you try out with a team, your coach might want to see how well you work with a team.
If you try out individually, I think your coach is looking for skill.

Well, our school did have a volleyball team, but it already ended. I most likely would have made. I did play regular volleyball for 2 years.

Maybe he wasn't trying to be unclear about it but it just ended up that way?

If you're really upset about it, I think you should ask him on what you can improve on so you can work on it for the next volleyball season try outs.

Agreed. You have to know how to bump, set and spike, its not just how tall you are.
