QUOTE(strice @ Jun 4 2004, 10:34 PM) Ok, i have perfect license to be pissed. you completely miss every point of everyone of my posts. talk around everything then completely ignore everything until you think it's convenient. and of course you put in a little smiley for good measure. people like you make life suck. What points have you made that I missed? All of a sudden you attack me with a whole bunch of 'you're so immature' posts. What did I do to you? If I was being off topic, all you needed to say was "you're being off-topic". But none of the mods said anything so far, so why do you care? You expected me to go around and answer every single point that was presented? It's me against... how many people are for gay marrriages? More so than people who are against. I've tried to present my point of view as best as I could, but all I got in return was that I was a freak or immature only because I'm against their marriages. I know I make a valid point, I don't need anyone else's approval on it. If you would tell me what part of your argument I missed, I would try to answer to them now. But please, don't be pissed because you think I'm immature because I'm against gay marriages. I have a right to think as I like. |

tell them to delete my account. letting you win is like letting a kid who's cheating at candy land win; it's just not worth it.

why don't you go back two-three pages and see that it was you who started to be mean about mine and cornflake's argument. Cornflake and I were fine after that, but you had to be mean about it. What can I do? You expect your taunting to go unanswered?

QUOTE(strice @ Jun 4 2004, 11:33 PM) how is pointing out irony mean? i thought it was silly and that was it. you pointed out that it was ironic cornflake and i were arguing about immaturity? i supposed that was pretty ironic. but it's a strategy to fight fire with fire. if you can't win them, join them, that sort of thing. i always do that to people who calls me names or accuse me of mean things. it's justified in my point of view. but i guess i do see your point that it was pretty silly. |

i'm not aganist it..but like why do you have to get married when all these people are aganist it. you can just not be married and still live together, you can do eevrything a married couple does. but there really is no need to get married when all these people will oppose you. well this is just what i think.

That's true There's a thing called common law marriage and that's a common practice for a lot of straight couples. |

Pretend at school, everyone is following this style that you don't like it. Why follow that style you hate but everyone loves, when you can like something yourself and be happy with yourself? It's like gay/lesbian marriges. Why wouldn't they do something that makes them happy? Why would they want to be like all the straight people in the world? Because it's not them. |

Um, but they ARE following a 'style', they're following the style of marriage. They want to marry... and isn't that what straight people do? |

The reason gay marriages should be allowed is because everyone has the right to the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS!! I don't get why it's such a big deal. Let them marry, let them live their life. Who frickin cares? It's not you. It's good that they want to stand up for the rights that should pertain to them.

gay/lezbo marriage shouldn't be prohibited or looked down upon..
1. its none of our business 2. its their lives.. let them choose their future 3. not like gay/lezbos would affect any of us anyway marriage is not about - religion - skin color - nationality or gender. its about luv. |

I take it neither of you care to read the previous posts before writing your own arguement...
1. Legalizing gay marriage means a change in the LAW, and LAWS affect SOCIETY as a whole. 2. That's a repeat the above, because they want MARRIAGE, it concerns society. 3. (What's with the repitition?) Homosexuals DO affect people. When I walk with my 5 year old cousin, I do not want her to question me why two men are holding hands or two women making out at the corner of the street (I do not approve of pda for straight people either). Look at the bigger picture. That's funny that you say marriage is about 'luv'. I ask you then, do you approve of brother and sister getting married? Or do you approve of teachers and students getting married? AND about the pursuit of happiness: Do you know why the law is hesitant on allowing gay marriages? Because legalizing it will surely tramples on the pursuit of happiness for other groups plus there's a question of morality involved. Why legalize marriage for one group of people, and not another? There are people who are affected by it. Do not interpret the Consititution without trying to read the whole thing. If your rights tramples on mine, you no longer have a strong hold over that right. |

Read the Constitution. Good advice.
Notice, in the Constitution, the word marriage is never mentioned at all. Not once. Then, alas, notice the Tenth Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the Federal Government by this Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States, respectively, or to the people..." Marriage, in other words, is reserved to the states or to the people. Marriage should NOT something the government is involved. Marriage in general should not be legal or illegal, it should not be recognized by government, and just treated as a religious or personal thing. |

DO THEY BOTHER YOU!? If so, take a look around. I believe the last pool taken said at least 1 in every ten people were gay/lesbian. One of my closest friends is a lesibian. If you are bothered by gay marrages...leave this planet right now. They are people too. Give them credit where credit is due.
