I was wondering. do you think it's possible to be a great actress & a singer
at the same time. And which female actress/singer do you think has the best
acting AND singing talent?

I started thinking about this after I found out that Jennifer Landon
(daughter of Michael Landon of 'Highway to Heaven', 'Little House on the
Prairie', & 'Bonanza' fame) who followed her dad's acting career and really
did well in the daytime soap AWS (As the World Turns) went on to launch a
singing career. I believe she only has 1 song out right now, called Slide,
but it's really good. You can check it on iTunes if you like.

Any thoughts?"

It's possible!

Ugh Jlo can dance, but she can't sing. I'd have to say Beyonce.

Well, hey, Johnny Depp was in a band and an aspiring musician before he took up acting. But he's not an actress. lol.

^Lol, & also a great example for an actor would be Jamie Foxx. He's brilliant.

Hilary Duff is OKAY.

I'd have to agree with Jackie, and say Beyonce.
She is the only actress/singer that is actually good/great at both.

So yeah, they're called musicals. They're these nifty things that incorporate both singing and acting :D I'm mildly addicted to them... That being said... Kristen Chenoweth and Idina Menzel ftw...

Zooey Deschanel! (I LOVED her singing in Elf.)

Nicole Kidman has a pretty good voice, too. And we all know she can act.

And Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennett on Heroes) isn't bad at both, either.

My sister LOVES her. In fact, she was just watching the Hannah Montana DVD for the oh, millionth time!

I got her the CD and it is now all she sings. So I'm kind of thinking, bad move on my part because it's getting a bit annoying.
