WTF was this for?

Anyway, to attempt turning this into an actual thread, do you know anyone who camped out to the get the PS3? A friend of mine did, and he got so hungry that he started calling people asking them to deliver food to him in line; 'cause if he got out, there was no way would he able to get his hands on his dearly beloved PS3.

Yeah, I saw long lines of people waiting to buy one at Best Buy. I want a PS3 myself but it's not that serious for me to wait in line for 2 days. And isn't that thing like a bazillion dollars?

I think it's quite annoying that everyone goes all out for all these fancy game consoles. I mean the same thing happened with the xbox too. >.> Heh, I agree with starlette (J'anelle, I believe?).

Someone actually got shot at a WalMart over the PS3. I'll find the news article and post the link.
I'm not a gamer so I guess I don't know the value of this. People around here started camping out at best buy Sunday and Monday night. I drove past Wednesday and had to laugh at them. It must've been so cold. Earlier this week during the day, with the sun up, we had a high of 27.

Ok, now that is ridiculous. It's not that serious to be killing people for.

I wonder if the price will ever jump down. Hmmmm.... Well, for now I'm perfectly content with my PSP.

^ Yeah, eBay is trying to monitor how much people are selling them for.

We were talking about it in History class and then someone mentioned what if they actually have more but they did this to get them all hyped up and stuff. I wouldn't doubt it though, if it was true.

a friend of mine in frisco camped out for three ps3's. he paid his friends each $400 to camp with him. Sony's metero(sp check) was there. They gave out free sweaters, breakfast, dinner, lunch, magazines, morning newspapers, and games. They also had models walking up and down the lines to talk to each and everyone in the line. Over 2 thousand people were in the line for three days.. they had 1200 ps3's in stock.. how sad.

now my friend has three ps3's and he's selling two of them for 3g's each on EBAY. I'm planning on going on the day after thanksgiving to purchase my ps3's. the question that you must ask yourself is, "is it worth it to camp for three days or more and get more money than you paid for? Like 3 thousand dollars worth?" hell yes. thing is, out here in vegas, they're giving out only 10 ps3's per store.
