Intellectual and interesting do not always go hand in hand. While the former certainly brings greater structure to the debate, the latter does not follow. Rather, it takes wit, not intellect, as well as sufficient fodder to generate proper interesting content.

Well, Brenden, for a start the revolution would never have happened (although that would have been a shame, really, as quite a ot of good came out of that), but that was before your time. Basically, if we are in power, we tend not to cause trouble for those who are in power. i.e. when we get our way, we are less difficult to manage.

anyway, the existence isnt supposed to be top secret anymore. they gave up on that ages ago, when the feedback fourm was introduced

I resent that. The demolishion of the clubs was a DAMN GOOD IDEA. They're annoying. And stupid. And I don't understand why my lack of modliness should lead to the removal of everythng I came up with. I knew Jorge was the spammer all along! I am always right! Always. Even when I make broad useless statements for no reason (much like this). Always.

Okay, so in all seriousness, for those saying backstage is/probably is boring, I wouldn't say that. It's what you would expect it to be - a private forum for us to discuss issues concerning the site/boards so there is some sense of order when we present them to the public. I knew (or suspeceted) that there was some sort of forum for staff members since I've been a moderator on a couple of other message boards, but I wasn't exactly itching to get back there - I understand why it needs to be private, so I never thought about actually trying to sneak back there.

In regards to the shit-talking references - thankfully, this issue has been addressed and put down. I don't see this as a concern anymore.

and i'm not saying it wasn't a bad idea and should be brought back, but how hypocritical does that sound saying that everything we do is public or in p/ms, but they can have their own retreat? now, i understand this is a forum and that's the point, posting in public and i know that "secret" place is right for staff to discuss things, but why can't members have their own place. i'd hate to make it look like blogring, but i'm sure there would be people that would be for this.
