it's kinda plain, but thats only because i was focussing more on the div boxes and what not. but since it was kinda plain, i put that whacky flashy background that hurts your eyes.  to make it esiar, i had most things as an image and i also image mapped. so how do you think it is for a first one? |

Wow. That background IS destracting. I think if it was just black it would look ok too. And then the falshyness (umm yeah) wouldn't take away from the layout. But I love the simplicity of it. For a first div it's like killertubalistic & fantastic.

AHHHH MY EYES.
It hurts. It's like blinding me, hah. It was way to flashy, and I was like woah. I really like it's simple and clean cut tables. I like that song. What song is that? o.O |

Oh god, lose the background PLEASE.
You should go with a striped background (thick stripes though, not thin ones). But other than that I like it.

I love the layout, it's a really cute and good idea, the flashyness is just too distracting and is kinda blinding.

Top notch organization. Very crisp and clean. I really dig the layout.
I have a solution idea for the background situation: Start with the initial green color and create a motion tween to 50% opacity over a black background. Do it over 4-6 frames in flash. I don't think it would hurt peoples eyes and I think it would stay true to your original idea. Otherwise very nice job. |

Hahaha I think the flashing is hilarious. I like it; I think it gives your layout a unique twist. I've never seen anyone else with such an intense flashing background, that's for sure. I love the colors too. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the text in your navigation box? That seems random but it's too pixelated and doesn't match the rest of your layout. Oh, and I know a lot of people do it, but I find tiny comment boxes really annoying.

Yeah, I dunno... I agree with the whole seizures thing. Couldn't you have put stars in the background or something instead of trying to cause seizures? I mean, with just a nice plane background the simpleness of it would make it entirely wonderful. But uhm... The flashing... ><
