Or people can learn patience. Seriously. We have lives to. I am working on editing photos. People - MODS - have other things to do too.

You try going through 200 graphics, adding critiques to everyone and making sure you hit the rejection button. I end up accidently accepting things that were supposed to be rejected. It really goes to your head.

Why do people always bring up the "I have a life too" line ? o.o Nobody ever said anything about that o_O

I've gone through that stage of going through the submissions queue.
It's hectic work, really.
And I really appreciate the mods who are still doing this work! :)

Good evening, createblog. Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin... Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of every day routine- the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition. I enjoy them as much as any createblogger. But in the spirit of commemoration, whereby those important events of the past usually associated with someone's thread being closed or the end of some awful bloody struggle are celebrated with a nice holiday. I thought we could mark this November the 13th, a day that is sadly no longer remembered, by taking some time out of our daily lives to sit down and have a little chat.

There are of course those who do not want us to speak. I suspect even now, orders are being typed backstage, and boys and girls with "mod powers" will soon be on their way. Why? Because while the closing of a post may be used in lieu of conversation, inside jokes will always retain their power. Inside jokes offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with createblog, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, think, and post as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well, certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? 5 dolla, Pokemon, AIDS. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. Fear got the best of you.

Last night I observed several forums. I studied carfully and realized…..there is far too much hate over the internet. Why? Well maybe because we sit alone in front of our computers and say what we shall say, because no one knows Exactly who it really is. I sat and observed different forums to remind the people of what it has forgotten. More than four hundred years ago a great citizen wished to embed the thirteenth of November forever in our memory, but he had his different reasons, and I have mine. His hope was to remind the world that fairness, justice, and freedom are more than words, they are perspectives. My words are extremely similar. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of the internet remain unknown to you, then I would suggest you allow the fifth of November to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek, then I ask you to stand beside me one year from tonight! Two years from tonight! Three years from tonight! Four hundred years from tonight! In front of your computers, and together we shall give them a thirteenth of November that shall never, ever be forgot.

I had heard rumors of an imposter of sorts lurking the forums. Of course, I had to investigate, and found myself much appalled at the current situation. Much needs to be set in its place.

James, I'm positive that you have a valid and reasonable point to make here, but I'm dying to know what it is. =\ If there are topics that have been closed that you'd like to have reconsidered, by all means post them. I'd be glad to look over them for you.

But to take that critique into consideration, some of us would like to know what exactly the critique is. If it's written in metaphors, I won't even bother to delve deeper into in case I misunderstand a point. Though I think James is trying to say that inside jokes should be allowed because it's not his fault others who don't understand spam his thread(s). But really, I don't see how that would allow more people to interact if only a small number of people actually understand. It's not the idea of not allowing inside joke threads but if most end up being spam at the end of the day...

So just state your issue explicitly, James, and make my life (I'll speak for myself) easier.

I don't see anything wrong with asking for clarification - I'd like to know exactly what I should be doing differently. I won't critique someone's criticism if I understand it, even if I don't agree with it - that's not what this thread is for, and you're right that we shouldn't be using it to defend ourselves.

Agreed. It doesn't have to be a debate but if we don't understand, we can certainly ask.

I have asked you James several times to explain in our conversation, so please do. I really would like to help you. That's my job after all. happy.gif

Am calling Reili's activity into question (fishcake-y), being as how her first page of posts spans all the way back to November 9th.

Toya (toyo loco) is still doing stellar, and I'm amazed with her patience.
