Pssst. I'm really glad that whoever closed this didn't post (so as not to hypocritically spam), but could you add the edit line next time so I know who you are? XD.gif

Anyone? Anyone at all? blink.gif

That thread was closed by Carrie. (I don't think she would mind if I posted it. It's not a bad thing, anyhow.) Looking through posts/threads/admincp though, there are multiple mods who moderate without posting/editing. Hmm.

She was actually online not too long ago.

^ modding?

and also, Ryan has been consistantly rejecting my graphics (and therefore i assume those of others) without offering any feedback or reasons as to why

Pm him and ask why. If he doesn't answer you can always ask someone else why it didn't get accepted. They can probably give you some sort of idea. But I'm guessing you mean that we should just automatically offer it, which some and most do.

the point was really, as you said, that you should offer them automatically. i dont really mind, particularly, as i only made those as a 'starting to play with photoshop' excercise, but the point was that now that there is a space for reasons, it ought to be filled in.

and two? i thought i submitted three. ah well.

oh, and not strictly mod related, but kristina's tutorials are excellent

Yes, yes, I know it's a HUGE hassle and all, but we wouldn't HAVE this problem if those going through the queue would ALWAYS remember to put in a reason for rejection. The only exception is if the person is still validating, because at that point they are unable to receive PMs.

If I need to post it again, I've got a text file on my desktop with a form for rejecting submissions. It makes the process go by much faster, because then I just need to include a couple of reasons and some advice, and the person gets a notification explaining exactly what was wrong and what they need to do in the future. I suggest trying it out if you're really having that much trouble writing out rejection PMs.

Honestly, I know we're all busy, but don't just go click through the queue. Getting it done fast isn't always the best solution, that's why we have SO MANY staff members - it's okay if you do a few and then quit for a while. People put effort into their submissions, it would be nice to put the same effort into reviewing them.

Katie has noticably stepped it up more than just lately. Credit must be given where credit is due. That is all.

Also, have definitely been seeing Kara around more, which is cool.

cB seems pretty dead. Maybe the mods should do something to try and revive it.

Why is it the mods' jobs? Anyone can post something interesting, instead of just the same-old-same-old.

I kinda agree with what Yanlin said.

You can see topics last posted on a few days ago still staying on the first page... and even if some members try to revive cB, it's just a few members and pretty much the same people in different forums. I remember cB didn't seem THIS dead last year and the year before during early November.

Hold on. Lemme wave my magic mod wand. tongue.gif

Honestly, what do you think mods could really do about it? You guys post and I'm here to make sure you follow the rules. It's up to you guys really. cB is in your hands and I trust you guys. _smile.gif Without members, mods wouldn't have anything to do. You all are the blood of cB. I always try to communicate with members and be a part of the community as best I can. I think that's more important than actually doing my job. I mean, I really try my best to stay active everywhere. What else can I do? You guys tell me. Give me some ideas and I'll gladly help you out and discuss what concerns you with the other mods. happy.gif

^ Yes, well Design staff do.
but sometimes we just cant get to it, and if you submitted your graphics at the same time then yes, the mod going through the queue will probably go through/all or most, Thus rejecting all your banners.
Does that make sense?

I have no time (or, to be honest particular desire) for CB at the moment, whatever the mods do...

^ I cleared out everything... everything yesterday. We get at least 100 graphics and about 20 layouts submissions a day now.

And yes, I saw your layouts in there. Be patient...... please? I can't really accept myspace layouts because I'm xanga staff.
