Im a guy and I jus wanna know what u girls think. Personally I know for a fact that 90% of the time guys are interested in a girl when they persue an active (quite close not just casual) friendship.

Are girls the same?...personally ive found most girls who are friends with me always seem to be interested...so I am assuming most girls r the same as guys and have evil intentions lol.

Discuss.....

Sure. I'm close friends with a lot of girls. I've never had attraction to them. I mean, they're beautiful and wonderful people, but that's just it. I see them as people. As friends. Not my next one night stand. happy.gif

If I'm interested in a girl, I'll try to get to know her better and if I feel it's right, then I pursue and try to take her out on a date or something.

sometimes both the people can be interested, other times one can only want a friendship. it just really depends on the people. for me, i usually like most of my close friends who are guys. xD

Uh, of course. Quite a few of my guy friends are also my best friends and I know for a fact that we're not interested in one another.

Yes, of course guys and girls can be just friends. I have had an attraction to some of my close guy friends, but it went away eventually. Some of my other guy friends I've never been attracted to at all. It just depends.

Of course...although it can be a bit difficult to not get attracted. My bf was one of my close guy friends...turned out that we both had feelings for each other =]

Yes it's possible if there's nothing between the two of you and u can keep it that way. I have guy friends that are just friends and nothing developed.

That's a tough question. I suppose maybe? I thought I would strictly stay friends with like one of my best guy friends, but then we started to wonder what would happen if we dated, and we tried.. and well it didn't work out so wonderfully. *shrugs* I guess it just all depends?

I think relationships develop between guy/girl friends, because most people like to get to know the person before pursuing a relationship with him/her. By being friends first, it kinda helps people to decide if it's just lust or a genuine liking. And I guess that being friends thing first works out well with people?

But I know what you're saying. I dated one of my close guy friends.

We want to kill eachother, but until experiment boy vs girl has ended, we will pretend to be friends with the opposite gender and hang out together and be great friends.... TILL D DAY.

Well it really depends on what kind of person you are. If you're like my best friend & will fall for any guy friend she has, then I guess it might not be possible o.o

But most people aren't like that. I mean, I don't like my guy friends like that XD

Yes, sure it does. Although I am a counterexample, the majority of guy friends that I have liked me before, but we manage to stay friends, although getting a bit separated.

i have tons of guy friends...

but..i must say...they've pretty much all liked me at some point...which puts an odd twist on the friendship considering i'm just trying to be friends with them.

my one best guy friend who was like a brother to me.....yeah. turned out he was basically in love with me the whole time...and then sabatoged our friendship so he could get over me.

it's lame...

I think it's quite possible.

I have several friend-girls who I like and everything, but I would not want a relationship with them.

Mostly because they go through boyfriends like a Panzer division through French provinces, but other things too...

It's very possible.

Just because a pair of friends are of different sexes, doesn't necessarily mean that they have alterior motives other than just being plain ol' friends.

With me, having a few close guy friends, sometimes even best guy friends, is easier. Because girls can be stereotypically whiny, over-dramatic, and uptight from time to time. Though I love my girls to death. Guy friends can be more laid-back and chill. _smile.gif

There can be friendship only between a guy and a girl. But it is true that such friendship are more likely to develop in something more. To a sort of tender feeling. I have lots of guy friends but I dnt get too close to them because I dnt want anything more than their friendship.
