So i jsut finished my 3rd overlay layout. This one came out better than the other ones that I had attempted. Anywho, just wondering, what you guys think. Do you feel there is anything missing? I have a feeling the layout is kind of boring but I had no inspiration and nothing was coming out properly, so this is what I have.
take a look please click it! EDIT: I forgot to mention that I only have one browser, IE, so i am unsure as to how it looks in others. EDIT prt. deux (NOV. 18): Just made another layout. Would you be so kind as to check it out? Please? I'm in this obsession with Regina Spektor moment lately. I'm quite fond of the layout despite it's simplicity. after all, simplicity is what i do best. Anywho...give me your thoughts, good and bad. |

I like the simplicity of it. It's nice.
Only two things I would change. One: Instead of having a box behind your links when you hover, you may want to consider just having them change color. I think the box takes away from the clean and simple look of your page making it looks cluttered/busy. Two: Your "I read" section spills over the add comment link. I'm not sure if this is because you accidently put a space between the likes and dislikes section, (because it looks to be about the same amount of room, and there are no spaces between the rest of the sections) but I would fix that up. I also enjoy the colors. |

The simplicity of this layout looks great. The banner looks well made.
Good job. |

I really like it; the banner is great. I like the choices of color.
Only a couple suggestions out of my own personal taste would be to make the font the same size, like the timestamp, links, etc. or maybe make the comments something other than black, 'cause it doesn't quite go with the banner. But you don't need to change that. lol. Good job |

If anybody knows how to chnage this let me know please |

Since you have them in a div, I think this will work for you:
CODE .comt td td td, .comt td td td b {font-size:10pt;font-color:000000;} Change the size and color and blah blah blah I think you know this. haha. |

i like this layout, the colours are awesome together, a really good job
to change your comment font, try this script here: http://www.createblog.com/scripts/download.php?id=217 and to change the timestamp, change and put within your style tags: CODE .blacktext10 {font-color:black; font-size:9px; font-family:arial; }

Awe, it looks great. Very simple and the colors are very nice to the eye. The image you used is nice, I remember seeing someone around here a while ago have it as their avatar.

Yeah, you're getting very good at the organization aspect of things. I like the top image for this one better too.
Overall though, I think I like the dresden dolls one better. It seemed to be more lively? Nothing wrong with this one I guess. I'm almost always an advocate for simple, clean layouts, but, you need to be sure it doesn't get boring. It seems too plain when you get to the comments. Maybe a different background other than the flat color? I bet that would make it much more lively. Maybe even something as small as giving the lighter green part that holds the info a shadow or border? I really like that top image the more I look at it, the more I like it. |
