I have a guy that I like romantically, and he knows, but he told me that he's looking for "a close friend he can spend his free time with, and yes, sleep with too." <---Those were his exact words. To me it sounds like a gf, but I asked a friend and she says something different. Can I get more opinions, please??? blink.gif

^ That's exactly what I think.

You should forget about him unless you want to get hurt or don't care that he would be using you.

Oh........why couldn't he just tell me point blank: "I'm not ready for a relationship" or "I just want a friend with benefits", instead of making me asking people what the hell he's talking about??? cry.gif

This is true and most obvious. I have to agree. If you are ok with that, alright then. But beware of his other 'benificial' friends.

cool your birthdays in may, me too. going on 22 :)

LOL, May people rox! But seriously, I know I'm not a good canadiate for that whole "FWB" thing--which I told him, yet he still talks to me....oh well, life goes on, right? rolleyes.gif

Exactly what the others said. I'm pretty sure he means a girlfriend (without the whole thing of being together.) Just for pleasure and happiness. I'm no fan of FWB. I don't think you should do it---but if you do, go ahead and be careful.

wow, this is quite confusing.

it really does sound like friends with benefits,
and a 5 year old talking.
like he doesnt know what he wants.

i personally don't like fwb, but it's because i like long-term.
if you want to have fun and know how to control your feelings, then fwb is good.

i say, trust this guy to see if it's worth of yourself and your body.
ask yourself, do you really think this guy is worth it?

you'll answer your own question.

i agree with everybody who's posted, this is definitely a FWB scenario and nothing more. :[

i'd really stay away from the guy until i got over my feelings for him, and definitely not make a move or step into the FWB relationship.

hope it works out for you...

This is the kind of ***hole that will, tell you that he wants to be with you, but is not ready for a relationship, manage to sweettalk you into ****ing him, and then go around calling you a s*ut

My advice? Get him the hell out of your life before you get hurt.

Unless you want to be trash talked and have your heart broken.
