EDIT - Due to general problems with my coding and that im not fully understanding CSS i have decided to come back when i can understand it moreclearly. Thank you! :)
PLease close. I really perfer coding layouts CSS style because thats what i am comfortable with. I have designed a brand new layout, well not completely. No colours working yet until i get the form up. http://www.freewebs.com/solar_dreams/test.html that is the website there. As you can see, it looks plain "wtf!?" What i am trying to do....well let me show you the header: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v124/Rav...st/layoutv2.jpg can see the header won't appear but what i am trying to do is try and get the content and side bar to move over so it fits with the layout. Its not going well at all. I mean the margin-left works but margin-top doesnt. Okay i am not fully comfortable with CSS layout coding so obviously its hard for me to figure out the problems with my coding. Thanks! Feel free to view source to look at the main content Heres the style sheet: http://www.freewebs.com/solar_dreams/stylesheet.css Thank you so much! :D As you |

I'm guessing wrap holds the entire thing? I never really understood why people did that around everything... It honestly just makes me frustrated because everything likes moving together... I know why your header doesn't feel like showing up though!
CODE <div id="header"> It's much easier to work with it like that. 'cause then you can do fun things like this and whatnot. 'sides, it allows you to move the header image independently from the blog... Which should be a plus. You don't have to deal with padding then.<img src="http://http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v124/RavenMist/layoutv2.jpg" alt="dream with me..." border="0"></div> <div id="wrap"> Oh, a word of caution on your navigation: You should use the wrap div there instead. That way they move fluidly together instead of all the wacko problems you get from them being seperate divs. That's from experience. =) It's not like I'm even the best coder. In fact, I probably do a lot of things I shouldn't. ^_^U At least I can say that my coding isn't messy! |
