I voted skinny.
I don't find ANYTHING wrong with average + over average girls.
I'll hang my head in shame if I must.

Good job, I respect honesty.

Yeah, my good friend has a ridiculously high metabolism, and she's naturally a stick figure. She's a size one, but she has a big appetite. No matter how much she eats, it's just impossible for her to gain weight. And she wants to be fatter (fatter, not fat) just because she's so thin that she has no curves.

I am the same exact way... and it's soo ridiculous that our metaloblism is so high. Everyone around my school ask me why I'm so skinny and its sooo annoying... they act like its my fault when its not. I really do understand the part "No matter how much she eats, it's just impossible for her to gain weight." I also want to became a little larger but its impossible. All that I can say is it's natural and I can't change that.

that's a fallacy. If a girl is obese, then how can she be healthy. Same goes with skinny girl. They both have eating disorder.

There are girls that are depressed over having a high metabolism? blink.gif HUH? This is odd - I agree with you. The thing is - I don't believe that girls are like that (the whole.. feeling pressured about their bodies) mainly because of their boyfriends and guys in general. I actually blame it on society - the media, rather. They're the ones exploiting all the stick-thin girls, pasting them in ads everywhere you look. ermm.gif

Don't rule out male influence. i've been in relationships like that. needless to say it was over within a few weeks..

These days it seems every girl who is 5 kgs overwieght is trying to claim they are a 'healthy weight' just because they are not obese and start dissing skiiny girls, which in my book are no better.

Healthy weight for women is 15 - 23% bodyfat (this is real statistics) and men around 8 - 15%. These girls need to look at the type of men they are trying to attract, are these men in similar shape? I can assure you that most of the time they are chasing men in their healthy range and wondering why these men arnt interested.

MOre males than you know work their asses off in the gym to look good and I think, fairly enough, want a partner who takes care of themselves and is in good shape. If some girls really think they have a weight problem they should learn some self discipline and change their unhealthy habits. Im talking from personal experience (used to be skinny & months ago put on 15 kg) and I just cant stand people complaining about things that can be changed with hard work. Same thing goes with skinny girls...they need to eat up and I can assure you that if they start working out their appetite will skyrocket it is physicological fact.

My boyfriends sister has a hyperactive thryoid. She hates it because she is 25 and can only fit into little kids clothes so its hard for her to be fashionable because the stuff she likes wont fit. and people think shes a little kid and shes grown. Its really hard for her because people are always like, YOURE SO SKINNY, EAT SOMETHING, and she does. And people constantly accuse her of having an eating disorder. But she takes it in stride because thats who she is.

I think it is important that people are healthy. If you arent healthy lose/gain the weight you need to be healthy. The end. :)

obesity just leads to health problems...i dont think its desirable to be obese.
but curvy and "healthy" looking is fine. stick thin looks kind of scary sometimes.

Weight should matter, but not in an esthetic way, but more like in a healthy way. You shouldn't date people just because of their looks. I mean, if you already start judging someone on their weight, then aren't you going to pursue that judgement even futhur? Anyways, that's not my point.

Some people are naturally skinny and as stated have high metabolisms. Others are big boned. I used to have a friend and people would make fun of him because they thought he was fat, but he's just big boned. His family is that way. It's not their fault. He's active in sports and he's got normal eating habits. Lord knows, I eat more than him.

So is it fair to judge people on weight and size even if it's not their fault they are the way they are?

And when it comes to blaming the media, blame it on celebrites on television and in movies. You can blame Jessica Alba for having hottest body and having a gorgeous picture of her in a magazine. (No offense to Jessica Alba in particular, I love her, but she's hot and was a good example). I know it's not the girl's fault for being insecure with herself, but she's looking to someone who's got personal trainers and dietists. I do also happen to think that Jessica Alba is normal sized.

Another part of major magazines are ADs. I'm a large fashion photography fan and those stick figures you see? Well, if you've seen alot of fashion ads, I pretty much call it art, but mind you, there are also plus size models that are just as pretty. It's up to the admirer to see what they want to see. One can look at a Dolce&Gabbana ad and see the petite sized model. Take it from my point of view, I look at the shot itself and not the person. The lighting can be gorgeous and the clothes and the setting.

Thus summing it up to: I don't believe in blaming ADs. I blame it on the way people look at things.

ONE LAST THING! When you exercise, you eat more, but you won't gain weight. You'll eat more food so you can replace the energy that you used when you were working. It's only when the amount of food surpasses the exercise amount, you'll gain weight.

And remember this: "If you're skinny now and you eat alot, you might just gain the fat when you get older."

Sorry about the long-ness.

don't call her a fatty.
jean size means nothing. I myself wear a NINE.
but I'm 5'6" and 116 lbs...so don't diss the pants size.
cuz that don't mean nothing.
and if 5/6 is too big? oh dear, so much for the world.
