when being with the same group of people for long periods of time(hurray marching band), you tend to get a bit....well...you know. We don't tickle most of the time...but there's a lot of poking. I know a couple of guys that are extremely ticklish, and some of us will just poke them in the side and they start convulsing. thats usually enough for us. On a day we feel extremely sadistic...we go after the ticklish and tickle them silly, and then the tables get turned. A bit immature, yes...but its fun...and its only with this same giant group of people...It doesn't happen often....We don't do it out in public though...we'd probably be beaten or something....

let me rephrase. tickling someone who you are not a couple with in a public place, like say school, to the point where you're chasing the other person around the room, is immature. Yeah, that's definitely immature. Especially when you're running around the halls and stuff and get detention for it.. Poking is immature too. My friends poke me because I squeak and then sometimes they chase me around campus. It gets to be really annoying. |

Over the top yeah, but even then it's still never really bothered me that much. It think it's rather stupid to get upset about something like that. I could see how it might bother someone who maybe isn't in a relationship. I remember when I was single and I'd be hanging out with a couple (usually not a good idea) they'd start playing around like that and it would bother me. Not jealously or anything. More like envy. I guess when I was in that situation I thought it was immature. Well... not even really immature. It just botherd me, that's all.

alright. i'll bite. tell me how tickling is mature. now, please note, this is the over the top kind of tickling i'm talking about. Wait, so there's only mature and immature now? Is the world just black and white? Is there no gray? QUOTE ma‧ture /məˈtʊr, -ˈtyʊr, -ˈtʃʊr, -ˈtʃɜr/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[muh-toor, -tyoor, -choor, -chur] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation adjective, -tur‧er, -tur‧est, verb, -tured, -tur‧ing. –adjective 1. complete in natural growth or development, as plant and animal forms: a mature rose bush. 2. ripe, as fruit, or fully aged, as cheese or wine. 3. fully developed in body or mind, as a person: a mature woman. 4. pertaining to or characteristic of full development: a mature appearance; fruit with a mature softness. 5. completed, perfected, or elaborated in full by the mind: mature plans. 6. (of an industry, technology, market, etc.) no longer developing or expanding; having little or no potential for further growth or expansion; exhausted or saturated. 7. intended for or restricted to adults, esp. by reason of explicit sexual content or the inclusion of violence or obscene language: mature movies. 8. composed of adults, considered as being less susceptible than minors to explicit sexual content, violence, or obscene language, as of a film or stage performance: for mature audiences only. 9. Finance. having reached the limit of its time; having become payable or due: a mature bond. 10. Medicine/Medical. a. having attained definitive form or function, as by maturation of an epithelium from a basal layer. b. having attained the end stage of a normal or abnormal biological process: a mature boil. 11. Geology. (of a landscape) exhibiting the stage of maximum topographical diversity, as in the cycle of erosion of a land surface. –verb (used with object) 12. to make mature; ripen, as fruit or cheese. 13. to bring to full development: His hard experiences in the city matured him. 14. to complete or perfect. –verb (used without object) 15. to become mature; ripen, as fruit or cheese. 16. to come to full development: Our plans have not yet matured. 17. Finance. to become due, as a note. So tell me how tickling is NOT mature... Because as far as I can see, tickling isn't really an issue of "mature or not". |

On a day we feel extremely sadistic...we go after the ticklish and tickle them silly, You sound like some of the girls I know!! One of them said to me "This is what ticklish people are for," as they were reducing me to a helpless heap (in a parking lot, no less). |

Once again.... tickling might not be mature, but it's not immature. Just like the world isn't just black and white, there's shades of grey and a whole spectrum of colors. If you don't like tickling, that's your own problem. And this has nothing to do with this thread whatsoever, but you sound like a really boring person, imo. |

just stop it. seriously. tickling is immature. I hate how people tickle to flirt. Do you see adults tickling each other? i mean, maybe a couple, but seriously, if you're not with the person DON"T FREAKING TICKLE THEM! it's immature and stupid. now i understand some of you are in middle school and that tickling is alrightish, but seriously stop in high school. oh, and don't say "it's not flirting because i tickle everyone". because then you're just acting slutty. and "well ima girl and i only tickle girls" is also stupid. bah. just because its not yur way of flirting, doesn't mean it doesn't suite others. dont be so harsh judgmental...its just not your way of flirting |

lmao, I remember when my ex-boyfriend and I used to either tickle each other endlessly or fight til we were full of bruises.
I don't find it -immature-, and I've never cared for the rest of the world and their opinions. I just wanted everybody to know that we are a happy couple. On the other hand, he never tickled me in public or such like. |

depending on what mood the other person is in when they are being tickled...I think determines whether or not it is immature at the time.....makes sense doesnt it....

lol wow some people are getting realy upset about tickling?
i really don't think it's a matter of 'immature' or 'mature'. it's just a matter of personal preference / opinion... some people like tickling and others don't. |

i get tickled ALL THE TIME!!! my friend (who is a guy) knows that i am ticklish right above my knees, so when i'm sitting down he'll just come over and tickle my knees. I screech soooo loud everyone stares. i think that there is absolutely nothing wrong with tickling. i tickle people all the time and they tickle me right back. |
