THEM HOUSES THERE ARE EXPENSIVE. stubborn.gif

Nahh, New York's houses are wayyy more expensive.
A regular 1-family house in my neighborhood goes for $800,000. In Jamaica Estates, a neighborbood next to mine, I've seen houses that are up to $8,000,000.
The apartments in the city.. Well, some go for like $100,000,000.

Californiaaaaa

Loves:
- the weather doesn't get too hot or too cold and we don't have to go through hurricanes, tornadoes, or cyclones every year.
- transportation isn't a problem
- the UC (University of California) system

Hates:
- the govenor-- he's an actor/terminator!!
- houses are so damn expensive
- spoiled SoCal mean girls, even though I've never met one, but I know about

I can't think of anymore, but I'll post more as soon as I think of some.

I don't live in the states, but I'm gonna do my province anyways :

British Columbia

likes

-the numerous different types of surroundings
-cities and towns
-vancouver island
-the ocean!!
-culture
-sports.. (hockey hehe)
-northern BC (snow xD)
-the fact that in some places, you can go to the beach or up to the mountain to go skiing on the same day

dislikes

-all the rain
-the fog
-expensiveness (is that a word?? xP)
-the coquihalla highway
^^the view's awesome.. the possibilty of getting car sick not so much

I really like BC though, kind of dreading ever leaving here.

(btw, Maple Ridge is awesome, I was there this summer!! I'm in Campbell River, vancouver island -yeah-)

Aw i wanna visit canda, vancouver, and all those good places. It seems so much nicer than the US, and its only north from us. I have been to niagra falls and it was so beauitful and clean there.

but Here in NJ.

Pros
- EVERYTHING IS AROUND NJ and not IN NJ. like NY, philly, Maryland all major hit cities are all around, so easy access.
- there are upcoming suburban areas, so cheaper houses.
- NJ in my opinion is a clean state, from where i lived, its becoming better.
- asians here also. not too many which is good still.
- nothing severe or bad happens here.
- where i live i am close the the shore.
NJ i think is the only place where the beach is actually called a shore. for reasons i do not know.

Cons
-Considered America's Armpit
-There are a lot of sluts in NJ
-can be boring at times

thats about it, i dont hate NJ i love it. NJ is for lovers. lmao

Dirty Jersey , New York has more classs . boooyah

I live in New York :

Pros :
+ Soo many choices so many variety around . The Best place to discover yourself .

+ Temperate Region . Good place to live in for any Season . Summer Winter , Spring or Fall .

+ Our Retail clothing Stores usually get the first batch of clothing lines . We have more updated apparel then in any other malls in the country

+ The Beaches in Southern Long Island , Skiing up in the Adirondacks . Hiking around Syracuse Area. Sightseeing and Gambeling on the Buffalo Side

+ Our education system for public schools are a bit more over the top in standards . Most kids who went to school in New York , has a bit more knowledge in high school . because of the Accelerated programs they offer and the New York State Regents Standards . New York people can be a little bit smarter = )

+ we have some of the best colleges

+ i dont think you can ever get bored .

+ Fishing . Boatriding , the Sea Life .

+ The Metropolitan Life NYC ...buffalo somewhat .

+ We have New York . you can say its one of the best cities in the world .

+ Concerts , Shows , Gigs , Showcases , Clubs , Parties , Events . Thats what you call Entertainment at its highest , folks .

+ The People , Soo many different people.Very Enthusiastic , Fun , very Motivated , Highly Diversified

+Excellent Public programs for the needy , the disabled , the elderly , the homeless and the sick . i don`t get why some people living here doesnt know about that

+ Our State Bird and Our state Flower

+ Our License Plates kick a**

Cons :

+ Pollution .Commercial housing is destroying and manifesting itself until there arent anymore trees in Long Island or upstate anymore

+ The State Police . one of the most leniant . but that wouldnt matter in your records . Hard Fines , Harsh Punishments . Recorded

+ Its getting tooo FREAKING CROWDED i swear pinch.gif . NY residency just quadrupled during the decade . "and we have too keep moving east to the island " during the subway, around stores , . the MALL the beach . blame the incoming people of the traffic even in local town Roads .

+ Living here is a two-edged sword . even though we have the highest facilities and living . Education at its top . and Best of everything . It is a very expensive . Taxes around the area have soared since the past 4 years that why you see so many people selling there houses

+ The People . though being prospective and meeting new people will be rewarding, its really difficult .there is no "Southern Hospitality ". New York aren`t at all really the nicest people in public . Concerned with there individual lives 24/7 ...working and the husstling busseling environment . with fast paced socializing . it will be hard for someone who doesnt have the necessary skill to actually make real friends and have real relationships with people . you have to be smart too who your talking too . And yes highly Diversified the downside of that too many different cliques and groupies based on race and related cultural issues and specific lives that shadows on some negative points ...the point where its hard atoo assimilate in soeciety . Split friends etc.

+ Watch out during the Winter because it can get really Cold . as low as below - . During the summer it can also turn scorching hot around the 100`s where it will be hard too walk on the black asphalt pavements .

+ Gas Gas Gas .

+ with all different goods stores retails , services etc . its also expensive since we do get the 1st batch . even for immigrants who came here which is undecided ont

* for those who are interested in living in New York , its not for the easy-going slow paced relaxed ,enjoyable ,simplistic and hospitable types , if your looking for that then your should move too Californa (except LA ) , Florida , Texas , etc . If you would plan to live here alone . you would really have to be really strong mentally and physically . its for those who can fend for themselves . and where only the Strongest Survives . You would actually have to live Your life 100% , 24/7 too its fullest in order to really survive .

Maryland-

I like how it's where the capitol is. I've seen like everything in the Smithsonian, and I'm not too far away. And our school policies are crap.

I hate our weather. I know it's not bad, but still. I just don't like it. mellow.gif

I love the weather and the beaches. I also love the fact that most of my family is from Florida.

Dislikes:
On the flip side, there isn't much to do in Florida. Seriously, Florida isn't all some people hype it up to be. Outside of our beaches, Disney World, and MIAMI there ain't much happening down here.

We don't have much of a winter here which means no snow. *pouts*

Hurricane season.

And like some have mentioned, our public school system needs work.

What I like about it is that it's one of the places that everyone wants to visit and says I'm lucky to live here, which I agree. New York City pwns. It's also very diverse and the public transportation system make it very easy to get around. You almost don't need a car.

But it's just very polluted and more crime-ridden compared to other states in the US.
