Okay so basically I'm pretty outgoing, but never when I want to be or need to be the most. For example, I'm perfectly fine talking when there isn't someone I'm trying to impress, but when theres a guy involved that I like .. I just get all nervous and I can't even talk.

So anyways, there is this guy in my geometry class that I really like, but honestly? I don't think he'd ever notice me. And the thing of it is that I get so self conscious when I'm near a guy I like that I can't even talk to him. Anyways, so I like this guy and I want to talk to him..(he's a teachers assistant) and he usually sits at the teachers desk when the teachers talking, but when he's done talking, he moves to a seat behind me.. and we're going to change seats pretty soon so it wont be that easy to talk to him anymore and I want to before that. The thing of it is..I don't know what to say or when. and it's like... I need confidence to get a boyfriend and be noticed, but the only way I feel like I can get confidence is if I get a boyfriend and get noticed first...

I duno. I'm kind of new to all this. Anyone wanna help?

Well, if he sits behind you, ask him for a pencil or something. Or help on an assignment?

Haha, I've used to be like that, I'd see an attractive guy and wouldn't have the guts to talk to him.

Basically, what I did was strike up a conversation with the person next to me whenever he was near me and try to make it loud enough for him to pick up on.

Most of the time, if what we were talking about was interesting or controversial enough, he'd join in and we'd hit it off.

After the first conversation, everything gets a million times easier.

Idk, I kind of got over that awkward stage around guys a year or so into high school. I guess I stopped caring about impressing them.

Both of these girls have given you good advice. Ask him for a pencil or a sheet of paper or something. If he gives it to you, then try to strike up a conversation with someone who sits near him that might catch his attention. Smile at him--smiles are infectious. Seriously. Remember that he's just a boy, he doesn't bite.

wow these girls are given u good advice here....I especially like the overheard conversation idea.

But seriously jus find a time wher eyou can approuch him outside/near class and jus mention anything like how u havnt dont ur assignment cose ur too busy partying or w.e but as soon as you can steer the convo away from school...if hes interested hell be receptive to your convo and interact..if he seems absent minded or short in any way forget bout that punk.

i agree with them, the overhearing one is the smartest one. i usually start talking with his friends that are in the same class and then gradually get to know him better through them.

.. I suppose I should say something that the others have already said, right? Write him a note that says, "You're cute." =D haha.. Well I suppose you if have LOTS of guts you can do that, but yeah. I would go by what everyone else said, unless you wanted to make it a little more personal then a note with whatever you wanted to say is fine. =]

Find any excuse to talk to him. If he's talking to others around you and you are at least on classmate terms with them, turn around and join in the fun. Or simply ask him for help and don't feel like he will think you're a retard. He shouldn't if he's a teacher assistant.

I know how you feel. Whenever I'm around a guy who I think is cute or I like a tiny bit, I can't talk to them. Or even if I do, I am not myself. That's probably why all the guys that liked me in the past were my friends who I didn't like in more than just a friendly way. I can be my normal self around them, so I guess they fall for my charm that way.

wink at him and blow kisses...lol j/k

uhm just start up any random conversation. Drop your pencil close to where he sits, if he is a gentleman he'll pick it up for you and if he does you know just start up a conversation like why he wanted to be that teachers T.A and just talk about anything
