or they like to call themselves emo, but they wear "prep" clothing.
idk. they're just people.

no, it's because they are nothing close to what people consider "emo" and they say they act a way that they don't. they say they cut but they don't. they say they are unloved when infact they are the most populare most liked girls in school. they buy clothes soley because their friend's friend has it. yeah.
but i don't go around thinking everyone is a poser though.

uh, so uhm...you know this because...you talk to those people?
okay... idk.

i'm just sick of stereotypes, and "pseudo"stereotypes.
If you have pride in your stereotype, that's just dandy, but to me, that kind of says a lot about what kind of a person you are.

anyway, my favorite band has to be Stars or Mum.

Sure thing! Theres Guitar Wolf, Melt Banana, Shonen Knife, GISM, thee Machine Gun Elephant, and Punks Stance. The band im really into right now is ELLEGARDEN. Theyre Japanese but they sing alot of their songs in English. Theyre pretty fluent at it too. Just a bit engrish, just a bit.

Oh, oh! I love Guitar Wolf (Ever seen Wild Zero?) and Melt Banana. Gotta look for some of these other guys. Thanks a lot, man. Great to see some people searching for those lovely nods to Western rock in other areas of the world. thumbsup.gif

Whats this about emo's?
And Emo haters don't suck. They have their own opinion, let them be.
However, there is a limit to how much can be said about emo's

In my opinion at least

Being an "emo" myself

bethany, i didn't say you have to cut to be emo or emo to cut. i'm saying some people think it's cool to be emo and they think all emos cut so they walk around saying "i'm unloved and i cut all the time" so that kids will think they're emo. i realize cutting is a mental issue, but not if you cut so that you can brag about it. if the only reason you cut is so that you can say you're emo that doesn't mean that you are actually emo. if you've forgotten i'm friends with those people that go around saying they're emo even though they don't know what emo even means. and if you've forgotten i've cut too. and didn't go around saying "hey guys i'm emo" like the kids at school do.

anyways, my favorite bands are From First to Last and Blink-182.

Yea, but I rather be none of the sterotypes.

They say my vans and my GIR fascination and such is 'emo'
and I dress it in some ways yet with a prep twist. Some person was touching me and pointing every little thing and putting it in a category. Aparently poke'mon falls under emo now too o_O I was wearing a pickachu keychain that day.

Well either way, both of you, we're talking about the genre of music called Emo. Not the style of appearance so let's stick to the music please. happy.gif
