Does your dad have any specific rules considering the boys you bring home?
My dad's pretty easy-going and incredibly asian, so he always jokes around whenever i mention any guy. 1.) "I am going to bring you to Taiwan to find a nice gentleman you can marry." 2.) "Every boy you want to date will be scored on a point system... 2 pts for coming from a nice family, 1 pt for every year he's older than you, 4 pts for having an SAT score above 2200, and 20 pts for being asian." 3.) "When you go to college, date 3 guys. Then, at graduation, I'll meet them and pick one out for you to marry." It's pretty freakin' funny. |

well, my dad isn't alive anymore, but i remember him telling me that "School comes before boys." i'm sure he'd approve of the boyfriend i have right now though

my dad. sigh. is the epitome of strict when it comes to guys, or even being around guys period. i just wish he'd trust me more, and he really doesn't get it.
i kno he's only looking out for me, and i acknowledge it, its just that.. one day he's gotta let me grow up and be my own person for once. he doesn't know i have a boyfriend..and probably wont until i see that he (ironically) is mature enough to understand me. :/. |

Im not allowed to have a boyfriend till like im 18 or after college.
cause they want me to have an education first. But i still have boyfriends. and i still get good grades. Haha... So once again my dad told me he wanted me to marry a nice Chinese boy. This time, I was like "why?"

That's so funny! You're lucky your dad is pretty laid back... lots of my Asian friends have families that are pretty damn tough on them. I guess it's an Asian thing. Anyway, both of my parents just want me to be happy, they don't really have a preference. Obviously if I bring home a junkie they'll have something to say, but anyone else is [hopefully] fair game.
