I searched but what I found wasn't really on the topic I was trying to find.

Who is/are your fashion icons?
& your favorite top designers?

Mine depend on what type of look I'm going for.

Rachel Bilson
Lauren Conrad (The typical California look cool.gif Because I live in CA)
Rihanna
Sienna Miller
Tyra Banks
Audrey Hepburn
Hilary Duff
.. there's more but I can't think of them.

Designers I love:
Chanel
Versace (They make gorgeous dresses!)
Vera Wang
Elmer Ave (For guys, but they make them look hot! biggrin.gif)
& whoever designs for H&M!
Isaac Mizrahi for Target is pretty coolio too.

Fashion icons are overrated. They all end up looking the same; you see a picture of Sienna Miller and think to yourself: "Hey, didn't Kate Moss wear that exact same thing like a week ago?" Hell yes they look great, but nothing too extraordinary if everyone's done it already.

Designers I love:
Marc Jacobs (Louis Vuitton, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Marc Jacobs)
Proenza Schouler
Tom Ford-era Gucci and YSL
Derek Lam
Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga

^ If you're gonna put it that way, then all designer labels would be runway couture, aka runway fashion.

Louis Vuitton could have some mod influences here and there but it's mostly Chanel that does the mod thing pretty consistently.

LV isn't anywhere near mod, it's more like teeny bopper

^Marc Jacobs for LV? Not really 'teeny-bopper' at all.
monogram, maybe.

Christopher Bailey for a much needed reviving of burberry prorsum.
Blumarine
Pringle

I hate to say it, but gwen stefani's s/s o6 collection was actually...really...good?

I never said the overall aesthetic was mod. Every designer has certain style influences here and there over the seasons, and LV is no different.

Teeny bopper? If you say so...

Teeny bopper? Some of their handbags, maybe, but certainly not their clothing...
