instead of the 4.0 system that most of you guys have, we have the 10.0 system. sorry i didn't make that clear.

Oh! Damn! That spoils all the fun.

... You mean 6.0, right?

Level - 4.0
Honors - 5.0
AP - 6.0
wait... so if your school goes by a 10.0 scale, what do colleges see?

The same as they'd see for your. Most people don't get anything for honors classes. I don't, or my GPA would me MUCH higher than it is, because I've never taken anything lower than honors/gifted.

US colleges normally use a 4.0 scale. Of course, all the colleges I know of don't have weighted courses (everything is based around a 4.0), and the reputable ones adhere much more closely to the Bell curve (unlike American high schools, which are widely known for inflating grades).

It's fairly easy, of course, to convert a 10.0 scale to a 4.0 scale.

i have no idea what colleges see. i guess they see it as if it was just like a 4.0 scale.

Providing calculus doesn't kick my ass, I can have it up to nearly a 3.5 by the end of the semester.

At my school it's:
Regular Class - 4.0
Honors Class - 4.5
AP Class - 5.0

That doesn't do you much good in the long run, though, since most colleges won't weight honors classes. That's why don't get anything for them. Otherwise my GPA would be MUCH higher than it is.

A = 3.8 or something odd.

3.75 perhaps.

I should find out on tuesday the exact.

I don't exactly know my high schools grading thing, so I'll find out tuesday once again.

in our school, we have a new grading system now. it`s like..

100 - 93 = A
92 - 85 = B
84 - 77 = C
76 - 70 = D
anything below it = F

yeah. pretty annoying.

Ew, those suck ass. I seem to remember having that in elementary school for like a year, but I guess everyone got pissed and they changed it back.

My average is currently 93% in high school.. I don't know how to calculate the GPA :( And I'm getting As and a few A+'s at the conservatory. There are still three more midterm exams/juries I have to do though.

Oh hush Kathleen, I'm very jealous. Calculus is about to rape my already completely mediocre GPA.

My unweighted for the last quarter was a 3.3. I wonder how much higher it would be considering im in all honors classes? I wonder if it'd be over a 4? huh.gif
