Hmm, I don't have Invisalign, but I do have normal braces. I do know a little bit about them though. (But this is all heresy, so I suggest you ask your orthodondist about it.)

They're used mostly for gaps & stuff like that in your teeth. The actual Invisalign things don't necesarily turn your teeth yellow, but the braces can turn yellow, which in turn make your teeth look that way. I heard that Invisalign can be tight on your teeth at first, but idk. I'm not too sure about the other questions.

I have a retainer that is something like Invisalign (it's different from the traditional retainers with a thick plastic thing that lines the roof of your mouth with a few things of metal).

I had to wear them every day for 4 or 5 months or so, so I think I can give you a pretty accurate representation of what they're like.

I don't have a picture of myself wearing them but it's not like it would make that much of a difference...it's clear. You can only tell if you look at someone's teeth closely, and then you can see that it's a bit more reflective than your actual enamel.

No, it didn't turn my teeth yellow. I wonder what that's all about?

I can't answer if they work or if they hurt because I used them for a different purpose. But for me, they only hurt if I didn't wear it for a few days, but definitely not as much as when I had braces.

No, the good thing about Invisalign as a retainer is that I had a very, very minimal lisp, compared to a traditional retainer. You don't have to worry about sounding funny, although if you're still self-conscious for say, a speech or something, just take it off for a few minutes.

They're not noticeable, that's the whole point of it. They're clear and molded especially for your teeth.

They should come with a case.

i wanted invisalign at first, buy my orthodontist said it doesn't actually correct the BITE of your mouth, just the teeth-crookedness. and your teeth can eventually become crooked again, afterwards. ermm.gif

Well 2 of my friends have/had them. One of them spoke sorta weirdly at first when she got them, but that was because they were loose (not fitted correctly). My other friend just got them a couple days ago, and she's talking fine, so I don't think they give you a lisp. When she eats, she puts them in a case. And...they're not very noticeable. You can hardly tell people are wearing them from far away, and even up close.

i have the same exact thing. they made an airbubble in mine. pinch.gif it's a good thing, though. you never really have to get them tightened, like regular braces. and, as said, they're espically molded to you. =] if it cuts into your gums, which mine was doing, they just snip that little bit off. it's great, really. happy.gif

my 2 cousins have them, and a friend had them, they aren't noticable, they don't talk with a lisp. also none of them have complained about pain or anything of that sort.

they are basically the same thing, its just retainers have like metal wires and the top part of your mouth and give you a lisp. invisalign goes all over you teeth just your teeth no other part of yourmouth and they are also invisible.

i have invisalign! ive been wearing it for about 10 weeks now out of 34.

and does it really turn your teeth yellow?
your teeth dont turn yellow, they are actually cared for better than braces because you can take them off and brush your teeth normally. the aligners itself might get a little dull though, if you eat in them or improperly care for them
do they work?
i have seen an improvement to my teeth, they were only slightly crooked anyways. i would think they work
do they hurt?
every so often a new case of invlisalign can be pretty painful for the first days.
do they give you a lisp?
my first WEEK it gave me a lisp. my ortho said about 2 days but i guess it took me longer to get used to. i talk normal now though
are they noticable?
you cant tell at all, the only way my friends even had a slight suspicion i had something in my mouth was because i was talking funny. personally, i can always feel them in my mouth, but looks-wise, its not noticeable
do they come with like a case or something to put them in when you eat?
yep. the only thing i dont like about invisalign is you have to take them out before you eat. its really annoying, kind of, in the beginning but im ok with it now.
