Allo. I finally had time to complete this layout which was basically been on the back burner for a while. Its quite differnt from what I ussually do. In fact, its the most radical change my sites seen since I started it. Its based in the Hemingway base for Wordpress.

So yes, its simple. & not very graphic intensive at all. (all of 5 graphics actually & that includes bullets)

So, C&C will be spiffy.

I like the simplicity. Everyone says that, but still... =P The top banner looks empty. I would add black or white text on top. I don't like how there are two entries at the top side by side. When I first saw it, I was wondering which one to read (I know, I can just choose one but it would be nice if you focused on one). I also don't like that the links are not centered, but that's really fine. I would have put 'Hello There!' at the top left, the latest entry next to it on the right; the flickr photos on the bottom left and the recent entries list to the right of it.

^ Thanks for the ideas.
The menu isn't centered in order to mimic the menu bar structure of operating systems.
As far as the two entries go, I like having more than one post on the front page & figured having them next to each other would be more space saving than having them stacked vertically. How do you feel about a header on the older of the two (which is the one on the right ) denoting it as such. Something like "previously" or "in case you missed it".
The "Hello there" is where it is because I wanted my contact information on all the pages and since the footer is universal to every page (sans photography) I put it in the footer.
