i have window xp and im thinking of using photoshop to make a wallpaper, whats a good size to make it so it wont blur when i put it up on my wallpaper.

i have windows xp too! and i use 1024x768.

Yes, lots of people do.

Like what Toya said it depends on your resolution (Or the size of your monitor)...which can vary by monitor by monitor, of course. But yes, most commonly it is 1024x768
