A thinner design. Five stylish colors. A brighter display. Up to 24 hours of battery life. Just about the only thing that hasn’t changed is the name. In 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB models starting at $149, iPod nano puts up to 2,000 songs in your pocket.(1)

QUOTE
The New Nano, with 8GB, is $249. fair enough. I don't understand how the 30GB regular ipod is also $249

in my opinion: its so ugly. i want to old shiny black and white back

[edit]
didn't see this but, the ipod video 5.5G is out, 80 gigs now [link]

New ipod shuffle 2G

It looks like.. the iPod mini. Except wayy smaller.

I would want it.. My 2GB iPod Nano doesn't even have enough space to store my top 400 songs, let alone the other 1,600.

And it has 24 hour battery life too. That'd be useful for plane rides.

It's not that ugly. It's ok looking.

I have a question though.. Where's your source?
Nevermind.. It was at the Apple Store..

IT COMES IN LIME GREEN NOWWW! That's awesome. I wish they'd make one in orange. =/

The new iPod shuffle looks cool too.

I WANT TO TRADE IN MINE FOR A GREEN 4GB ONE! cry.gif
But it doesn't fit into any of the old cases anymore, right? sad.gif

Yeah, when I first saw it, I was like ... iPod mini ... but obviously smaller and thinner. I don't think it's THAT much different than the original Nano. I dunno.

^ ITS AWESOMER THAN THE ORIGINAL IPOD NANO THOUGH!

It gets 24 hour battery life and it comes in different colors. And it costs less now.

My iPod is more colorful (the case), but I want it for the battery life and the storage space.

It's hard going on a 12 hour flight without music.. My iPod goes like 6 hours and it dies =/
The new one has 24 hour battery life, so that'd be enough to last a whole flight.

so mad lol. its alright though i knew they were coming out with something new later on. imma stick with my old nano its still good even though the battery sucks like ass.

how much thinner is it than the old one, imma look it up but i doubt it cant be that much thinner.

iguess they learned from their previous mistakes a little cause the battery life is supposedly longer.

but the shuffle is slightly attractive. looks oddish. but we.

^ The old iPod nano was 1.6 x 3.5 x 0.27 inches.
The new one is 1.6 x 3.5 x 0.26 inches.

They also made the new one because of all those complaints about scratching.

I'm seriously thinking about just getting this one. A 1GB used to be the same price as a 2GB. Love the price and battery life.

My regular nano only lasted like...4-6 hours if I played it nonstop. I wish it came in black though. _dry.gif

I actually prefer this one over the original nano, the shine on the original nano shows a lot of smudge marks, although on this new one, since' it's not shiny anymore, there would be no more smudge marks.

^ A cube iPod? blink.gif

I just found out that it comes with the new earbuds too.

I don't like how they look. But then again, I don't like iPod earbuds at all.

i like the first gen nanos. i don't like the curved sides. it does look like a nano-sized mini.

the shuffle is cool, though. it's the smallest mp3 player out right now.

80 gig ipod? that's more than my computer holds!!!

I might be forced to buy the new high-capacity iPod(The 80GB). My 30GB Creative NOMAD Jukebox Zen Xtra just ran out of space the other day(It didn't actually run out, I still have a whopping 6MB left). I've read about replacing the hard disk in it, but to open it up you need a Phillips screwdriver smaller than size 0, and I honestly don't have a clue where to find one. (Well I have a clue, I suppose)

When I first bought my MP3 player my only restriction on what I could buy was that it couldn't be an iPod. But since Creative no longer offers a comparable player with the capacity I'm looking for, I've been backed into a corner. Not even Microsoft's competing product, the Zune, which hasn't been released, will satisfy my needs.

As far as the new Nano, it simply looks like they took the old iPod mini and shrunk it. I think they'll become more popular due to the colors available, but I'm never good at predicting market trends. I was among the group with thought that the iPod shuffle was a huge blunder when it was released. Clearly, I was wrong.

Thats not an iPod shuffle, thats a MobiBlu DAH-1500. Or at least thats what I suspect you saw. There was never a version of the iPod shuffle in a cube form.
