i think this is the right place to post this; sorry if it's not!
i guess this is more pertaining to best buy then apple or whatever, but it's been bothering me for awhile and it does revolve around my ipod. i got my ipod about a year or so ago at best buy. when i got it i bought the 3 year service plan. i had a lot of problems so eventually i got it exchanged for a new one, like the service plan promised, because the geek squad couldn't figure out how to fix it. this was right around the time that they released the video ipod. i originally had a 20gb photo ipod. my service plan didn't transfer because they said that since it was a new ipod, i needed to buy a new plan. my friend got her ipod the same time i got mine. her's didn't have any problems, but she wanted to the new video one. she flirted her way and got a new one. she got to keep all of her accessories from the photo ipod (earbuds and wall charger), got the new video ipod, and got her service plan transferred. first question: are they even allowed to do that? should i have gotten my service plan transferred or should she have not gotten hers transferred? secondly: i know it's been a year, but can i still buy a service plan? i have the receipt from the exchange. i asked a girl there once, but she said she didn't know and i rarely go to best buy because it is kind of far away. thanks to anyone that can help! |
