ok i'll try to make this short.
me and this girl have gotten to become really close best friends in the past 2 months. about a month ago i started liking her. yesterday i admitted to her that i kinda like her. she said a bunch of stuff like "WOW REALLY?? =) AWWW THATS SWEET blah blah blah i'm flattered =) i actually liked you for a while but then i decided i loved you more as a brother blah blah blah" so at first i was kinda expecting her to say she liked me back. so it was pretty disappointing when i found out she didnt. i just thought it would be awkward talking to her if she knew i liked her and she didnt feel the same, but after i admitted it we just talked about it for a while and she seemed pretty happy about it and then we just went on with our lives as if nothing happened. we're still really close best friends and talk a lot and she doesnt seem to feel awkward about it at all.
maybe i'm an idiot for being confused about this, but yeah. i wanted to know what other people thought about this.

Same thing happened to me. Except she said she sorta liked me. Thought we aren't going out because of other conflicts. It is fun being friends and having our feelings out in the open.

i was in this situation with my like, bestestest buddy except he didn't tell me that he liked me, but he told my friend and she told me. well i didn't like him but then i sort of fell for him afterwards. i think you should wait for her for a bit, just not forever. give her a chance to see how much you mean to her.

thanks everyone. i just wanted to get this out in the open. this girl is an awesome friend and i hope we stay friends for a really long time. i think even if she did like me back i wouldnt want to treat her any differently. its always so fun and easy to talk to her and joke around with her.

No reason to be confused. She probably really liked you for a while, but somehow got over you. It has happened often to me in the past with crushes. It's great that you still have a close and friendly relationship with her. :)

... She definately doesn't like you like the way you want her to. But she obviously still wants to be your friend. idk,... I don't really find it awkward to be around a guy (who i don't wanna be with) that tells me that he likes me ... only as long as he doesn't try anything or start acting weird.

Just be a friend to her, because if you start acting differently, she might freak out and distance herself.

That, and start looking for someone else.
