My first one was about as nice as it could get. We had both been talking a lot about things lately and eventually decided that it would be best if we moved on from the relationship and just became friends. It was a very good break-up, and we're still friends to this day.
 My second one sucked. We basically just drifted apart and didn't speak for a while, and that's really about it. We still haven't 'broken up', but I've figured it out by now. |

I didn't really care for my first boyfriend when we broke up, or else I wouldnt have done it. Later, I did care and I realized ignoring him wasn't a very good idea and it made us awkward friends for awhile.. we've gotten back together unofficially many times, although Ive wanted an official one. I guess if I hadnt broken up with him so hard it could've happened, but oh wells.

i have been thinking about breaking up with my boyfriend for months, i have been going out with him for 6 months now, and i just keep on holding it back. everytime that comes up, he starts crying and says. YOU'RE GOING TO BREAK UP WITH ME AREN'T YOU? he is super sensitive and is too clingy to me. that is why i have spent all this time thinking about it. now that school is starting up again and i know we won't see eachother every day or other day, [which is the main reason i wanted to break up with him is because he couldn't spend one day without me and i just wanted some alone time.] that we will eventually break up. which is a good thing on my part. i just can't imagine breaking his heart. even thinking about it makes me hurt.

i've only breaked up twice and once.. it was basically a... yeah.. w/e letse break up.. nothing is going on
the other was... wild.. that one involved violence and kicking and running.. its funny tho. |

i just broke up with my "boyfriend" about two days ago. and...i'm feeling the effects of it right now. it's torture for me--tears just keep coming out. haha--i'm trying my best though. if he's happy i'm fine.

My recent break-up was easy. I broke up with him 'cause I really didn't feel a connection. Then we went back to being really good friends.
The one before that though, the one that happened 2 months ago really hurt me. Right now I hate him and we really don't know how to deal with each other. It was a really messy break-up.

for me it wasn't a real big deal cause i was the one to break it off with him. it only took me like, a week to just move on. but the thing that makes it difficult is that we share the same friends, [i have lots of best guy friends
 ] and they're telling me that he still has feelings for me....ASFDHKLG;AGH so now, instead of being friends with him like i want to, it's really awkward. |

My current boyfriend and I broke up for a while. Actually, I broke up with him. I ended up crying.
 I never thought I'd cry for a guy and I never thought a guy'd cry for me (he did).Really, I don't want to go through that anymore. Although, I have this ONE ex boyfriend who's still in love with me! He's too sticky. |

I've never been dumped but we've broken up in a mutual kinda way... we just lost interest in each other. Quite honestly she changed and I didn't like it and she claimed that I was not spendin enough time with her... even though she was always busy, oh well :) |

I know that the one that I am in now is going to be hell and a half to deal with. I guess thats what tells you that you really care about the person if it is difficult to let go of them in any way shape or form. |

my past breakups...well ive done them all. the relationships never lasted longer then maybe 3 weeks, except one with lasted a month. i never really kept touch, i see no need to after we split really. if i dont like the person i dated why would i want them as a friend, but thats just my outlook on it. i couldnt be friends with someone who put me through hell, nor could i be friends with someone if i put them through hell. its just so many boundaries that have been crossed....
 but i dont think i could shrug off the current relationship im in now...even when i dream we break up i start to cry...i feel so pathetic

They are usually pretty easy. Sometimes when you go out with someone for a long time and you both feel it breaking apart it isn't as hard. But when you still have feelings for the other one it hurts like no other. Especially seeing her flirt with other guys and go out with them. Not fun.

My last break up, during the conversation, he said that it was "a peaceful break up, if there ever was one."
Most (see all) of the other ones weren't as peaceful and typically ended up with someone in tears (usually not me, lol). |

Oh my advice give it to him straight its best to do it now then later when he is going to start falling madly in love with you then your really going to break his heart then.So basically make up your mind tell him you need some time alone or break up with him.

It's kinda bittersweet. Sometimes it's heartbreaking and then some days I feel like I'm over it, but then it just goes back to heartbreaking.
