Do you belive in it...I do now...after seeing one guy for 4 hours and hanging out with him at a football game wanted me to throw away my boyfriend ive been dating for 9 months...our realationship is in a mess now....

You people need a reality check. Seriously. Love? Do you even KNOW what love is? How can you love someone you barely know? Not really possible, is it? "Love" at first sight is LUST at first sight. Attraction. But teenies have a hard time distinguishing those things.

^I agree with Angelina.
I don't believe in love at first site, perhaps if you really got to know the person over time and such then perhaps you could love them. But you still wouldn't be loving them at first site. Its just lust. A simple physical attraction. sorry. |

Sry...i didnt mention i've know the other guy for like 5 years and we have always liked each other and kinda talked on and off and then we kinda started liking each other more...i guess it was love at first sight....i dunno how to explain it...

One more thing: there's no LOVE at first sight. First sight means when you see somebody for the first time. You cannot fall in love with somebody when you see them for the first time. Is it really that complicated to comprehend? |

I don't believe in it. However, I believe that feelings can start the first time you talk to someone, but not full on love. When I first started talking to my boyfriend, there was an instant attraction and connection, but it was certainly not love.
I don't think it's just teenagers who have a problem distinguishing between love and infatuation . I mean, look at the divorce rates. I think too many people are jumping the gun and believing that they are in love, when it is simply infatuation that dies out quickly. I guess, distinguishing between love and infatuation takes maturity, and half the people in the world aren't mature at all. I would recommend getting to know this other boy more and reevaluating your current relationship. I wouldn't destroy a good relationship based on one incident. However, I do know the feeling of being completely intrigued by someone the first time you talk, but with my boyfriend I talked to him more to make sure he wasn't being completely fake. He wasn't  .

Love at first sight is plain and simple... you don't even interact with the person. You look at someone, and all of a sudden you fall in love. That's practically impossible. Like I said before, young people easily confuse love and lust.

Few people who think they're in love are really in love. Love at first sight is called lust and infatuation, but it most certainly isn't love. Love is when you have a deep connection with somebody, when you feel completely comfortable around him, when you accept all his negative along with his positive. You can't get that out of just looking at somebody, sorry.

I believe in it but I dont believe its smart. I believe that love is not an emotion but that love is a conscience decision...that has the side effects of feelings...and you can choose to fall in love within the first couple seconds, but its not the smartest choice.
